"Excellent location with fantastic rooms. I was in room with queen bed and it was awesome. Particularly like the view of mountain. Fast checkin process. No free breakfast and only one star less because they done have fridge and microwave in rooms but they have common microwave outside to use. Wonderful landscaping with elks roaming around. "We had a very nice stay. The room was comfortable with plenty of space. We made use of the kitchenette. We didn’t use the BBQ grill, tennis, pickleball courts or playground but nice amenities. Not far from the main part of town, and very convenient for exploring the park. There’s a shuttle to downtown but we didn’t try it."
"My sister and I had an excellent time at hidden ridge resort. Very cozy and relaxing place that is close enough to downtown but also far enough away that its very quiet. We had an excellent stay however it is quite expensive I feel for what your getting."
"This is a multi-building facility that has a theme that I would describe as "outdoor activities." My room featured this quote by John Muir painted on the wall: "Between every two pines there is a doorway to a new world." There was a second quote on another wall with the same theme. Room and hotel features are modern. It is obviously that this is a newer facility. The area around the hotel appears safe, and the rooms are nice and quiet. It's very dark at night, perfect for a sound sleep. There are two amazing swimming pools adjacent to the river, although I did not avail myself of their use. The hotel does not offer a complimentary breakfast, but the adjacent Osprey restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is reasonably priced. Staff on the property were friendly and accommodating."
"This is a basic hotel but very clean and good location. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and staff friendly. Completely touch-less check in and out, they provide a code so no hotel room cards required which was super convenient. I am only giving 4 stars because we booked a king room and received a king bed, but also two additional bunk beds we didn’t need or want. There was no closet, only hooks to hang clothes on and only one mirror in the entire room, which was in the bathroom. So whoever is in the bathroom is the only person who can use the mirror. If my partner was in there, I was unable to do hair or makeup outside of the bathroom which was very inconvenient as we both couldn’t get ready at the same time. At least put a second mirror in the room, preferably near a plug, so someone can dry their hair."
"BEWARE! If you book through Expedia, the hotel, upon checkout, is STILL going to charge you a room fee as well as a parking fee of $15, even if you don't have a car and park there. I had paid for two rooms through Expedia and was then charged, at checkout, for a $15 parking fee as well as a room fee. Per management, no worries, that they would just remove my charge on Expedia, however, 10 days later, I was still fighting with the hotel, when they eventually decided to return my call. I finally spoke with the accountant, who had no idea why I would even be told that Expedia would refund my money, which was not the case, and that my room fee through the hotel was eventually credited to my credit card. That rubs me the wrong way for sure! The hotel was beautiful, the history is incredible but the South African bartender was not kind whatsoever, or at least two women. She was quite sweet to my husband and his best friend. Would I recommend staying there, absolutely! ...and even ask for a tour by Joe, in security, who was wonderful and took us into those hidden areas.
PLEASE be mindful of your bill. I found it very disrespectful, as a paying customer, that Amy the manager passed the buck and apologize that she thought her supervisor had already called me back. Please don't tell me one thing and don't follow through.
