Booked this hotel because in he description it promised that it could sleep up to 4 children (plus 2 adults). When we got there I was told that no, they didnt have any rooms like that and only 2 beds in each room. It was late (10pm) and we didnt have the energy or time to try to find another hotel. My husband slept with our 2 boys in one bed so that I could have the baby with me. The above was my main dissappointment but the bathroom was also very gross. The sink was rusty with some sort of "paint" on top of the rust to cover it? The finish on the toilet seat was peeling. These items would not be costly to replace.

Clean but a little tiredPosted Nov 19, 2017
Not sure why but hotels always give a little less service when booked through Expedia .. like they resent an extra room rented for a little less. In this case the room was not preheated ( -5), the jeycard worked but themanual key was stuck inthe door, the remote only worked of you stuck out yourto gue at the right angle ( worn out) and the bathtub had its no skid torn out leaving only a tarnished residue.

Pretty good for a small townPosted Sep 28, 2017
Location: Quesnel is s small town but has most big city shopping places. Recreation centre is less than five minutes away and Barkerville is an hour or so drive
The only cleanliness issue was a stain on the carpet by the washroom door, the rest of the room was quite good. The stain looked recent but I would have thought cleaning staff would have a portable cleaner to take care of spots like this. Small town motels are, in general, a bit on the run down side but this place was above average. Price was just about right for what I got. If this were $120 a night the rating would have been quite a bit lower. The managers are actually very nice and the one problem I ran into was responded to instantly (couldn't get TV set to the right input for the cable box).
Will not stay at this Super 8 again.Posted Sep 4, 2017 on Hotels
The clerk commented we check in so late - I called in earlier in the day and was specific that we would not arrive until 2am due to road closure from a horrific accident. As I was leaving to go to the rom the clerk said "check out at 11am ... before 11am" Then minutes after 11am clerk calls the room to tell us it's time to check out. I said "yes, we are almost out, 5 minutes ". Could have graced us with 1/2 hr or so. We were so tired from the long delay (4-5hrs) most hotels are understanding and don't mind if we check out a little late. The rug had a sticky feeling. There was a musty smell in the room - likely the rug - used the blankets to cover my face as I slept. Beds were hard resulting in sore backs. Up side : got to shower in the AM and the towels smelled clean. We've stayed at other Super 8 s and had a wonderful experiences, so I think it was just this one.

Noisy.Posted Aug 30, 2017
I stayed at this hotel based on price but after staying, I think I should have increased my budget a little. The hotel is in dire need of a makeover. The room just felt old and run down. The bed spread had two large, old stains but the sheets were clean. The room and bathroom were clean but old. The highway noise was constant all night and seemed to be right ourside my door. For one night, it was ok.

It is an old outdated motel but room was cleanPosted Aug 5, 2017
It was a decent place but hot as hades and the air conditioner just didn't do the job. I hardly slept in the two nights I was there. The people seemed nice but did not speak or understand English very well. They are I believe Japaneese and were very nice but I had a difficult time checking in because the gentleman didn't seem to understand what I was saying and I didn't understand a word he was saying. Don't take this wrong because they were very nice and I have no issue with that. Just hard to communicate.
Very nice motel in Quesnel.Posted Jul 22, 2017 on Hotels
Our final destination was Barkerville and we arrived in Quesnel late after a whole day of driving to avoid the fires. The room was clean and the staff were really great. Breakfast was simple but we had a good selection. I would definitely recommend Super 8 in Quesnel.
