"Nice hotel"
I have stayed here a number of times in the past so it was my first choice when attending a concert last weekend. Hotel staff was very friendly, but didn't have nearly enough people at check-in. The line got very long. I used points to get a discount rate this time and was put in a room overlooking a roof, with a big green spotlight right outside my window that illuminates the entire side of the building. Bathtub was dirty, too.

"Good enough"
I was very nervous reading the reviews and pretty much never stay anywhere that doesn't rate at least 4/5 on customer reviews but we just needed a one night stay from late Friday night to Saturday morning. Just a place to sleep with three kids with us. We made a spur of the moment trip from Idaho just to take the kids to Circus Circus. I had $42 in Expedia points to use making this stay only $24 with taxes and fees on Expedia. Plus the $13 we paid the hotel when we got there. So for a grand total of $37 out of pocket we figured we'd give it a try. It was fine. Room was clean and looked just like the photos. Wasn't terribly outdated like the reviews made it sound but not up to date super modern either. Easy walking distance, even with three kids under 5, to the main attractions.

I came to reno to celebrate and help me get over the death of my wife. We were married in 1989 at the court house. We have stayed at the Comstock,Sands, Fitzgeralds a lot?? even the Peppermill. We stayed here two years ago had a good time. Then in October at Harrahs, she did not like it. We didn't make it in 2016 she got ill real bad. So I brought my brother down with me ,5 nights, a lot of basketball, drinking and fun. Just wasn't the same without her maybe time will tell. i

    The Best Times to Visit

The best time to book a stay at one of the beautiful Reno, Nevada, resorts really depends on what brings you to the area. Reno does experience all four seasons, and the temperatures are generally mild during each. Winter temperatures fluctuate between 25 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit, and temperatures in the summers can vary pretty drastically with evening temperatures in the mid-50s while daytime highs are between 85 and 90 degrees.

Resorts in Reno are generally busier in the high winter months, but because there are so many ski resorts in the area, there are plenty of cheap deals from Reno ski resorts available. During the summer, there are a variety of annual festivals held in Reno that attract visitors from all over the country; however, there are still outstanding prices on Expedia.com as summer is typically not considered to be a peak season.

    Things to Do

Reno is not only a destination for world-class skiing; snowboarders, snowmobilers, and snow-shoers from all over flock to Reno to experience the winter wonderland of Sierra Nevada. However, there is no shortage of exciting sporting opportunities in the summer as well. Nearby Lake Washoe offers awesome windsurfing and kiteboarding, and the scenic Truckee River that runs through the city features a large, world-renowned whitewater rafting park that holds annual events. Additionally, there are several outstanding golf courses in the area suitable for players of all skill levels that feature glorious vistas of the mountains and lake.

There are many hotels in Reno near the downtown area that host cultural attractions such as art museums, theaters, the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Nevada Shakespeare Society. Sports fans will also want to check out the Reno Aces, Reno's minor league baseball team, or a basketball or football game featuring the Reno Wolf Pack, the University of Nevada's college team. Additionally, unique festivals draw hobby enthusiasts from all over the world, including Hot August Nights, a world-renowned classic car festival, and the Reno Air Races, one of the few remaining air races in the world.

Visitors who are looking for indoor fun will enjoy concerts that feature anything from world-famous headliners to local bands. Additionally, no visit to Reno would be complete without a little gaming action. The casinos in the Reno area offer all the table games, slots, race, and sports action that you could hope for.

    Lodgings and Amenities

Your Reno resort will likely offer packages that combine discounted lift tickets, greens fees, and shuttles to and from local golf courses and ski slopes, so be sure to ask when booking. To relax after a long day of enjoying the outdoors, take a dip in the pool, have a soak in the whirlpool, or squeeze in a workout. Almost all Reno resorts offer free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfasts.

If you're staying at a one of the many full-service resorts in the Reno area, book an appointment for a massage or skin treatment at the on-site spa, or do some shopping at the boutiques. The overwhelming majority of Reno resorts have at least one restaurant on the grounds. These can vary from small, cozy, home-style restaurants to luxurious 5-star steakhouses and everything in between.

    Geography

The small city of Sparks is considered part of the Reno metropolitan area, and Reno is only about 30 minutes from the Nevada capitol of Carson City and about an hour from breathtaking Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America. While Reno is famous for its proximity to the Sierra Nevada, the area actually contains large sections of wetlands that are an important part of the region's ecology. Wetlands conservation in the Reno area is a growing environmental concern, and they are a popular eco-tourist attraction.

This warm and friendly city in northern Nevada is a veritable year-round playground, so check Expedia.com today for cheap flights to Reno.
