"Nice hotel. Close to shopping"
Hotel is close to shopping and restuarants. Room was very comfortable and clean! Only issue I had was that I booked a room with a king bed and they gave us a room with 2 queen beds. By the time we got up to the room with our belongings I didn't want to have to haul everything back down to front desk. So we just kept it.

We stayed for three nights. We arrived late and the staffeta was welcoming and helpful. We were impressed with kept up and clean the outside area and parking lots were. We ate at three different restaurants and found all three were tasty. Prices were very reasonable for quality and quantity of food. The staff was friendly and courteous. My husband bow came off his glasses and we went to gift shop to see if they could fix it. I thought was a long shot however a woman was very very helpful and kept working to fix it. She was so friendly and talking with us. We would stay at Peppermill again. During the week the prices are very very affordable for quality of room.

"Perfect downtown location"
Too smoky for the kiddos. Should have known better than to bring them to this particular hotel. Wonderful helpful staff. Even with a long line of people to assist she still greeted our family with enthusiasm and care.

"Business trip ~ brought spouse and pup "
The hotel is centrally located, easily accessible. Parking was close, check-in and out a breeze. Rooms were a bit dated, but maintained quite well. Hotel has no amenities at this time, no casino or restaurants, just a small coffee/pastry bar in the morning. The room was quiet, great view, though windows were rather dirty :) ~~ I would def give this place another opportunity next time I am in town ~

"Convenient location"
It was a last minute trip and the hotel is right in the middle of downtown so that was a plus because it also was near freeway. The hotel didn't have all that much to offer, I mean it was decent, but I probably won't stay again unless another last minute trip. I knew what I was paying for and for how much so I would say that I was satisfied considering expense wise but as far as what Harrah's had to offer wasn't much. Room could've been more clean but I had a good view out my window.

"Very nice place to stay, if you're long term..."
The room itself was fantastic, and the manager was very nice. However, there was 1 Major hang-up. I'm not sure which end is responsible, but basically the room and complex is for long term (30 days or more) stays. When searching Expedia, this location came up for a 1 nights stay, which is totally wrong. Luckily, the manager called me back right away, and informed me of the mistake. We both tried to find another hotel room, however seeing as it was Valentines day weekend and Presidents day weekend, all options had been eliminated. I was very fortunate to have such kind and understanding management, for they allowed us to stay only 1 night, despite their business being a long-term rental. This could have been an absolutely horrible experience if it weren't for the management. The complex itself was fully furnished, very nice, and fit the description exactly. Again, I am not sure who is at fault here for posting this add incorrectly, but I do know that we were able to avoid a disastrous trip.

    The Best Times to Visit

The best time to book a stay at one of the beautiful Reno, Nevada, resorts really depends on what brings you to the area. Reno does experience all four seasons, and the temperatures are generally mild during each. Winter temperatures fluctuate between 25 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit, and temperatures in the summers can vary pretty drastically with evening temperatures in the mid-50s while daytime highs are between 85 and 90 degrees.

Resorts in Reno are generally busier in the high winter months, but because there are so many ski resorts in the area, there are plenty of cheap deals from Reno ski resorts available. During the summer, there are a variety of annual festivals held in Reno that attract visitors from all over the country; however, there are still outstanding prices on Expedia.com as summer is typically not considered to be a peak season.

    Things to Do

Reno is not only a destination for world-class skiing; snowboarders, snowmobilers, and snow-shoers from all over flock to Reno to experience the winter wonderland of Sierra Nevada. However, there is no shortage of exciting sporting opportunities in the summer as well. Nearby Lake Washoe offers awesome windsurfing and kiteboarding, and the scenic Truckee River that runs through the city features a large, world-renowned whitewater rafting park that holds annual events. Additionally, there are several outstanding golf courses in the area suitable for players of all skill levels that feature glorious vistas of the mountains and lake.

There are many hotels in Reno near the downtown area that host cultural attractions such as art museums, theaters, the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Nevada Shakespeare Society. Sports fans will also want to check out the Reno Aces, Reno's minor league baseball team, or a basketball or football game featuring the Reno Wolf Pack, the University of Nevada's college team. Additionally, unique festivals draw hobby enthusiasts from all over the world, including Hot August Nights, a world-renowned classic car festival, and the Reno Air Races, one of the few remaining air races in the world.

Visitors who are looking for indoor fun will enjoy concerts that feature anything from world-famous headliners to local bands. Additionally, no visit to Reno would be complete without a little gaming action. The casinos in the Reno area offer all the table games, slots, race, and sports action that you could hope for.

    Lodgings and Amenities

Your Reno resort will likely offer packages that combine discounted lift tickets, greens fees, and shuttles to and from local golf courses and ski slopes, so be sure to ask when booking. To relax after a long day of enjoying the outdoors, take a dip in the pool, have a soak in the whirlpool, or squeeze in a workout. Almost all Reno resorts offer free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfasts.

If you're staying at a one of the many full-service resorts in the Reno area, book an appointment for a massage or skin treatment at the on-site spa, or do some shopping at the boutiques. The overwhelming majority of Reno resorts have at least one restaurant on the grounds. These can vary from small, cozy, home-style restaurants to luxurious 5-star steakhouses and everything in between.

    Geography

The small city of Sparks is considered part of the Reno metropolitan area, and Reno is only about 30 minutes from the Nevada capitol of Carson City and about an hour from breathtaking Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America. While Reno is famous for its proximity to the Sierra Nevada, the area actually contains large sections of wetlands that are an important part of the region's ecology. Wetlands conservation in the Reno area is a growing environmental concern, and they are a popular eco-tourist attraction.

This warm and friendly city in northern Nevada is a veritable year-round playground, so check Expedia.com today for cheap flights to Reno.
