The Palace is a beautiful and elegant property. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with high ceilings and comfortable beds. Hallways are wide with high ceilings and are well maintained. The concierge was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and with assistance in getting around ...

Lovely, affordable accommodation on the northern terminus of the cable car routes so you can be anywhere you need to be.
We enjoyed shopping and dining with out using any transportation. Everything was in waking distances to the hotel. Location was perfect!
Nice hotel overall. Clean room, good furniture, hotel in a good condition. Nice to get the free coffee / tea / cookies / pop corn when you come back from a visit. The hotel is well located close to Union Square so it is easy to reach your destination from here.
Hotel staff was great as well as hotel location. We stayed in a historical queen room and the room was small with a very small bathroom. Location could be a little noisy, but the cable car stopped in front of the hotel.
Book today and experience the heritage and allure of a hotel with a story and a past. Look past the sparkly, high-rise hotels and go the rustic route instead.
Because when you choose a historic San Francisco hotel with a story to tell, you’ll have your own tales to share when you go back home. We doubt those brand new high-rises have that kind of charisma! During your stay at a historical hotel in San Francisco, marvel at the on-site antiques and explore the nearby landmarks. You’ll feel as though you traveled through time as you take a tour of the area and other historical attractions during your vacation.
