This is an excellent property. The staff were attentive and amazing. Housekeeping checked in with me daily to verify the best time to come. The porters were all friendly and helpful - they and the front desk would always greet me and wish me a good day on leaving.
I did not get a chance to use the on-site restaurant/lounge, but I did use room-service for breakfast one morning. Eggs, bacon and toast - simple but beautifully prepared and presented, with excellent flavor and generous portions. Still more expensive than an equivalent meal at a breakfast restaurant but I can't really complain.
If I had to find *something* to complain about it would be that the remodeled Deluxe room I was in (free upgrade on check-in was nice!) had an unusual elevated tub/shower installation which might make the shower difficult to use for someone who is over 6'2". But honestly, that's it. The linens and towels were very nice, the shampoos and soaps were nice quality and smelled good, the windows to the room had fantastic sound-dampening qualities (important in a city like SF) and the WiFi worked flawlessly.
I would absolutely stay here again, and if I wanted to save a little money, I'd just skip the valet parking as there is an available parking garage a block away (the same one they use actually.)
It's an easy walk to Chinatown, Union Square and all the shops and restaurants there. CVS right across the street if you forgot anything too.
