“The hotel is very comfortable, the facilities are very good, the windows can see the mountain view, the scenery is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious.”

“Excellent ”

“The staff at this property were the absolute best and so kind and attentive. Leon was incredibly kind and helpful and all the wait staff and room service staff were awesome. I felt cared for and welcome and my stay as a woman traveling alone was the best I could have hoped for. I definitely recommend this breathtaking property and will be back! PS: make sure to experience the sauna!”

“Nice, simple, clean room in Benbecula, South Uist. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. There is a nice hotel restaurant a short walk away from the Hebridian Stay. We would stay here again the next time we visit south/north Uist.”

“Brae Lea is far more than one would expect. The location is a short walk to the Ferry Terminal at Lochboisdale - yet driving from the north, you feel as if you’re nestled in the foothills of a mountain (because you are). Rupert is an outstanding host, and he doubles as a 5-Star concierge. He helped us sort travel and touring arrangements as well as made breakfast and suggested dinner options. The Brae Lea accommodations are also top drawer. Clean - efficient - spacious - inviting. Full marks……

“It’s an excellent hotel with good breakfast and service. We also enjoyed the distillery tour as well.”

“The two gentlemen at the front were absolutely amazing! Both were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely good people. They always had a positive attitude and made us feel comfortable and appreciated. Their kindness and great customer service truly made our trip even better and more enjoyable. It’s people like them who make a place stand out. Thank you both for such a wonderful experience!”

“Reading other reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but it was great. I had a huge room with a seaview and big modern bathroom with lovely Scottish toiletries. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot bath after a cold day out on the bike. They have a big indoor room around the back of the hotel where you can store your bike. Huge comfortable bed and the room was comfortably warm. Busy, friendly bar and restaurant and I had a lovely steak pie for dinner. Very much enjoyed my stay here.”

“This is a lovely inn on a hilltop overlooking the water. Everything is very well maintained, the food fantastic, and the room had everything we needed. What makes it stand out is the staff- they were welcoming, professional, kind and friendly- going over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. Recommendations for meals and outings were always presented. Thanks for a wonderful stay!”
