You just need to understand that it's just outside of Big Bay so any real dining choices will require you to go to Marquette. It was perfect for us since we tend to cook our meals and perfectly clean.”

They had roughly 3 days notice that this storm was coming, and it did. 14 inches of snow later I’m supposed to check in but the host forgot to make sure the rental was plowed. Her words “oh yeah I forgot that” when I called to find out what was going on. I was refunded that first day. Day two, and I didn’t get checked in until after 11am. So most of the day gone. “We had a great time at this cabin- everything was clean and as advertised! The hosts were really friendly and easy to communicate with. The proximity to the 41 made it easy to venture out to different parts of the U.P.! We’d definitely stay here again! ”

“Very quiet. The grounds were very nice. The owner was very pleasant. But the description of the place did not tell me that i had to climb so many steps. The room was very nice. But the shower and barhroom sink, both had hair in them. The table had sticky spots. And the outside of the frig was dirty.”

“My friends and I came away very pleased with our no-frills wilderness camping on Rod's property. He has the best view of the Huron Mtns I've seen, with a better perspective on the south faces than Pt Abbaye. They really lit up in the sun with peak color all over. We also loved his sweet dog Max, who quickly pivoted from intimidating bark at strangers to "dare you to try to take my stick" playfulness in seconds.I would go back in a heartbeat, but I did take off 1 star for listing accuracy only...
