“This is a really nice property on acreage, so you have privacy and quiet which is really important to us. You just need to understand that it's just outside of Big Bay so any real dining choices will require you to go to Marquette. It was perfect for us since we tend to cook our meals and perfectly clean.”

“This listing is deceiving. The whole area was under a blizzard warning. They had roughly 3 days notice that this storm was coming, and it did. 14 inches of snow later I’m supposed to check in but the host forgot to make sure the rental was plowed. Her words “oh yeah I forgot that” when I called to find out what was going on. I was refunded that first day. Day two, and I didn’t get checked in until after 11am. So most of the day gone. Did not get a refund for that day. Now on to the house. My……

“We had a great time at this cabin- everything was clean and as advertised! The hosts were really friendly and easy to communicate with. The proximity to the 41 made it easy to venture out to different parts of the U.P.! We’d definitely stay here again! ”

We visited right before a blizzard hit and thoroughly enjoyed watching the weather roll in while we stayed warm and cozy by the wood stove. “My friends and I came away very pleased with our no-frills wilderness camping on Rod's property. He has the best view of the Huron Mtns I've seen, with a better perspective on the south faces than Pt Abbaye. They really lit up in the sun with peak color all over. We also loved his sweet dog Max, who quickly pivoted from intimidating bark at strangers to "dare you to try to take my stick" playfulness in seconds.I would go back in a heartbeat, but I did take off 1 star for listing accuracy only……
