We were greeted by chorusing tree frogs as we walked down the path to the entrance, then felt the warmth of the gas-fired fireplace as we opened the door. There was an abundance of snack foods, a loaf of freshly baked bread, sumptuous pastries, assorted hot beverages and cheeses for a continental breakfast, and wine and beer.
