A short hike through the woods, and you end up at this peaceful spot on the Puget Sound.

At the trailhead, there's a nice park with plenty of grass and some picnic tables. There's also a nice playground for the kids.

On the beach, you can get catch some views of the State Capitol and the Olympic Mountains, hunt for rocks and shells, catch some rays, ...

I recommend heading there at low tide.
