“The rental was perfect for us -- two bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom (both spacious and comfortable), and a sofa bed in the basement/tv area, with its own full bath. The facilities were beautifully kept, the location along the north shore was convenient to cafes and hiking (with Grand Marais not too far). We arranged to bring our dogs, and they had a great time (the only thing they didn't like is that they're used to runners on the stairs, so going up and down was slippery for them, but……

“Lovely remote lodge in beautiful area. The room is small, but well appointed. You will lose cell seevice on the gorgeous Gunflint Trail, so make sure you have saved your check in instructions beforehand. Note that many lodges on the trail have restaurants, but not this one, so bring food with you before you arrive. They are last on the trail except a campground, so once you’re here, you’ll need to have everything. I came thinking I might get to see the Milky Way since it’s so remote, but there……
