“My wife had wanted to visit DC and the surrounding areas for several years so we opted to stay at this property northeast of the National Mall.The location is great. It is a reasonable walk to the Capitol and the Mall. The property is also a short walk to many excellent eateries. (Unfortunately many of the museums were closed due to the government shutdown, but we had a great time nonetheless.)I found our host to be helpful and quick to respond to questions through-out our visit. “Beautiful place. Rooftop seating is very private and has nice views. Neighborhood had a lot of great food options. Aged CVS and really nice organic grocery store are within a few blocks - quick walk. Easy 25 min drive to downtown DC area. Unit parking is not obvious (as also stated by other reviews) - had to talk to locals to learn the 2 unit spots are across the street behind the green-teal house. The 2 spots do have signs saying they are reserved for the rental address. The 2 spots are for all……

While this listing boasts of it's close distance to various DC attractions, it is in a neighborhood and on a street corner that did not make me or my family feel safe. “Overall, this flat offered all we were looking for, a great price close to all the sights we were hoping to see. I assumed because it was a 3rd floor unit that there was an elevator, I was wrong. My husband is disabled so my own fault for not asking the question prior to booking. We didn't spend much time going up and down the stairs, and grandkids came in handy to retrieve meal deliveries.
