“The Octant is a great hotel. Location is perfect. The staff is absolutely amazing and very helpful. They certainly go over and beyond to make your stay perfect. The hotel is clean, up to date and the breakfast is soooo delicious!! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to Sao Miguel. This is one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed in. Our room was comfortable, clean and amazing. We can’t wait to go back again! AND….its DOG friendly (so cool)!!! ”

“The building and rooms are beautiful and the view from the top floor is spectacular! The staff were helpful and the breakfasts had a nice variety. The Wifi never worked and would keep disconnect which was quite annoying and it is next to a Main Street which was a little noisy in the night times. Overall definitely would stay here again!”

“I was happy to spend my holidays in the comfortable VIP Executive Hotel in Porta Delgada. The only point to improve is to propose a more various breakfast. All other points related to my staying are excellent. Looking forward to come back ”

“This is a beautiful property with old world charm. We were surprised that beds were not more comfortable and of better quality. Also, no top sheet - only comforter which was too hot. However, upon request we were provided with top sheet. Location of hotel has its positives and negatives. It's located in the heart of a popular square downtown which makes it extremely noisy during busy times. Thankfully, we were on the 4th floor which helped with noise level. Staff very pleasant and……

The interior furnishings were fresh and modern, but the outside could be maintained better. Being so close to the water probably has challenges with salt air, but paint and power wash might make it look better on the outside. ”
