“It is so luxurious and perfect. A shared kitchen was a great way to do it. The breakfast is outstanding in the pool is beautiful.”

“Everything was nice except the rooms was not what we booked. We booked for 3 families and we all got different size rooms which caused conflict. Also the fact that everywhere we went smelled cat pee cause their was so many cats.”

“The location was good - the room had a nice view of the water BUT for us unfortunately, we had a horrible experience. We couldn't get hold of the host and Expedia help line did not answer my messages either (Expedia still never addressed our issue - all messages are u answered). I tried calling the host and they did not answer. We had no information about how to access our room. The host finally sent a txt while I was continually calling to say they couldn't answer the phone right now and……

“Paulo was an incredible host, suggesting ideas for activities, hikes and restaurants. The bed was confortable and the room had everything you need. If you want to go to bed early or stay in bed late, don’t forget to bring your earplugs if you are in the main building because you can hear people at breakfast. The continental breakfast was complete with eggs, fruits, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, cake, coffee and tea. There are even passionfruits from the garden sometimes! The pool in a nice……

“Our stay at Maison Emeraude was without a doubt, one of our best stays of our entire 10 day trip to Portugal. The owners were friendly and helpful, offering advice about our itineraries for each day, and made the most delicious breakfast and dinner! It was peaceful, relaxing, and charming. My husband and I look forward to staying again the next time we visit the Azores!”

“A little oasis on an island that is already so beautiful on itself. Via a lush garden with all the flowers you could possibly spot on the island, we arrived in our home for a week. It fitted our family of 4 perfectly. We were welcomed with delicious home made breads and pastries, which we also enjoyed during breakfast in the "chapel". Helena spoiled us every time with fresh juices, home made marmelades, cinnamon rolls... The pool and jacuzzi are just amazing and perfect to relax in between many……

“I could easily write paragraphs long reviews but am limited by characters. Thank you so much for having a kind, welcoming, and inviting inn. The shared kitchen is organized so nicely, the living space and deck are right at the waterfront - mere steps to the ocean and a five minute walk to a public swimming point. Our balcony overlooked all of this and we enjoyed sunsets night after night. The staff were so friendly - incredibly knowledgable, giving, caring and fun! Thank you Luisa for helping us……

“Schone, grote kamer. Fris en nieuw. Mooie badkamer. Eigen parkeerplek. Nadeel is dat we een kamer direct aan de drukke weg hadden (kamer 5). Hoewel er veel moeite is gedaan om het geluid te dempen, stoorde het langsrazende verkeer ons. De kamers aan de achterzijde hebben dit nadeel waarschijnlijk niet. Ontbijt had ook wat minpuntjes: lauwe koffie, geschifte yoghurtjes, zoutvaatjes verstopt. Waarschijnlijk waren de ontbijtzaken een momentopname maar toch goed om te laten weten.”

“Alles sehr sauber entsprechend. Der Pool hätte sauberer sein dürfen. Zimmer wurden topp gereinigt. Sehr freundliches personal. Preis für Übernachtung allerdings recht hoch für ein 4 Sterne Hotel ohne Frühstück oder sonstige Verpflegung. Der Whirlpool ist indoor in einem Nebenraum zur Rezeption. Wäre er draussen gewesen hätten wir ihn benutzt.”
