"This property is owner operated and your host Phillipe is quite charming. The property is deep in the hills above Aosta. There are no restaurants or markets. Nothing. The charm of being there is that you can have a nice home cooked meal and breakfast in a 14th century building. The beds were comfy with toasty blankets. We left the windows opened as the temps plummeted. It’s worth taking a walk around the neighborhood. It’s altogether about a 1/2 mile but enjoyable. "

"This property is pretty much perfect as a solo traveller, it is definitely on the lower cost of properties in the town but this does not mean it is unwelcoming, uncomfortable or cold. The room very much reminded me of my university days, small but functional. Breakfast was just right to start the day, with a typical continental fare and dont miss out on a hard boiled egg. "Even though the weather wasn’t great and we couldn’t take the cable car to Aiguille du Midi, we still really enjoyed our time in Chamonix. The staff were very friendly and even let us park our car early — free parking is a real bonus here! Our two-bedroom apartment was huge, fully equipped, and had a massive balcony with amazing mountain views. The hot breakfast was excellent. The only downsides were that the laundry machine was out of order and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect stay."
