“Everything was nice. We were only there for less than 12 hours so didn't get to use the pool/hot-tub. Breakfast was less than expected, but enough to fill us up.”

“Public wifi did not include service to the room I was assigned so I was unable to watch tv nor read my kindle unless I went to the reception/dining area. The gym was closed for repairs. I mistakenly left on my trip a day early so had no room reservation on the evening of my arrival. “My wife and I were on a trip to an area where I have been going to my entire life. The stay at this establishment was fist rate and all of the staff were very helpful. We will recommend to family and friends.”

“The location was easy to find and Check in was stress free. We were able to take our fur baby and we loved that. The cabin was clean and the view from rhe large deck is very pretty.”

“Check in was fast, clean rooms, when there eas a problem with the sink, it was immediately taken care of.”

“The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!”

“Very sparsely furnished, furniture was worn. With no decor it felt very cold and sterile.”

“Very clean place, you might want to look at the ceiling fans.”

“Wonderful historic location. Host provided thoughtful extras that we didnt think to bring. Our only suggestion would be if you prefer a softer mattress I would bring a mattress pad.”

“The property is a beautiful historic building. It is well appointed and absolutely lovely. The community is charming, and the opportunities for outdoor activities abound. The host was so helpful. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We definitely will stay here again!”

“I held my bachelor party there. We dressed up in old western outlaw attire and had a great time. The vibe of the house was perfect, while still providing modern amenities. Great kitchen and dining area for hosting a group. We all got our own room/beds. Perfect place and all went smoothly!!”

“This historic location was an amazing home base for our girl’s trip to NE Iowa. It’s clean and such a unique place to stay. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for the four of us. Our favorite part was people watching from the sun room area, although margaritas on the back patio were a close second. :)”
