“Good location on the highway that was close access to the historic downtown area. The back deck area and tables were great to sit out, watch the deer in the woods or chat with some of the other guests.”

“Check in was odd. No one was available so had to call and got texted the room # and door code. Small issue with curtains off track, but got corrected quickly. The room was clean and nicely renovated. Outside doesn't give the same nice vibe. Quiet at night. The bed is the foam kind, so feels like sink into hole. Not to my liking, but others may like that style of bed. Overall satisfied with the stay.”

“Room was exactly as depicted. Clean, smelled fresh, bed was very comfortable! Despite being on a major roadway and it was a busy holiday weekend, the other tenants were quiet, road noise was minimal. The parking lot is a bit cramped but it’s a smaller lodge so to be expected. The staff were so considerate and helpful. Their recommendation for the Thai place around the corner was spot on. Delicious! Would definitely recommend The Lodge as a reasonably priced comfortable place to spend the……

“The service was very kind, especially because I got in after hours, but the room left something to be desired. The main concern was a few spider webs with daddy long-legs and some general wear and tear in the room. The jacuzzi tub worked though!”

“I have stayed a a variety of motels and I can honestly say this one was the worst. The bedding was horrible, only flat sheets and a comforter. There were roaches in the room, I killed several. I found an ant in the microwave. There was a coffee maker but no coffee or cups. There was only one bar of soap in the room so you had to take it back and forth from the tub to the sink. The second floor balcony looks to be unsafe with rusted metal holding it up. There were a few people who just sat in……

“Check was easy. Gentleman who helped us got us a room with a jacuzzi tub due to a cancellation and did not charge us full price. Helped us get settled in our room and made sure we were happy. Very quiet place. Beautiful scenery. Close to downtown without the downtown traffic. Will definitely return.”
