“This is a wonderful property with lots of historic charm and stunning scenery right on the doorstep! I stayed 4 nights and Karen really looked after me; delicious cooked breakfast each morning and a newly lit fire in the evenings to sit beside. She gave me a tour of her gorgeous garden and introduced me to her feathered friends; the chickens, cockerel and pheasant as well as her lovely dogs. “Well located hotel for golf at Silloth. The properties decor is a bit tired and in need of some maintenance. The days we stayed there was only one young member of staff on and she had to look after arrivals, bar work and serving of food. Naturally it was a very slow and frustrating evening for customers as she was run off her feet. How she kept a smiling face I do not know. Some of us even asked if we could help her serve behind the bar to relieve the backlog. She politely refused our offers as……

“The property was in a lovely location with great views and was very convenient for visiting Keswick which was a very pleasant town.”

“Unfortunately we had a very soft mattress I spoke to the receptionist and our room was changed straight away where the bed had a firm mattress. All other aspects of the stay were excellent brilliant setting lovely food and excellent staff. The only small let down is bedroom wallpaper which could do with an upgrade.”
