“The host was friendly helpful and I had an enjoyable stay. Welsh breakfast was delicious and of high quality. Bedroom is spacious and comfortable. It is a bit away from the castle but 10 mins walk from pubs and restaurants so it is quiet at night. Host was helpful in trying to get me a taxi for Sunday which was a bit of a chaos. If I pass by there that would be the place I stay.”

“Unfortunately, we can't agree with many of the other reviews. We only met 2 staff member and both were not very welcoming. The property, although being old, is very run down particularly very messy on the outside. The room we had was just ok, nothing special although it was big and the beds were reasonably comfortable, but the shower was absolutely useless, just a trickle of water, and the two lights out of the three in the bathroom that didn't work were not fixed even though we……

“A wonderful stay in the middle of the countryside! Colleen and Griz were perfect, friendly, down to earth hosts and their recommendation for a local pub for food was lovely! It was also great to meet their dogs who were so keen to have a bit of fuss! Breakfast was stunning and freshly cooked. The room had a really comfortable bed and everything was clean and welcoming. We'd highly recommend Ty Mawr to anyone wanting a stay in the lovely West Wales countryside.”

“I felt very welcomed by everyone, lovely staff, great breakfast, the parking was gratefully appreciated. My bedroom was lovely but due to previous heatwaves, the room was very warm due to its 300 yr old construction, I opened the window for cooler air which helped a bit. Hope to return again.”

“The Hotel has parking first come first serve very Narrow drive through alley. Does not have a dessert menu this is done by staff telling you whats on the menu it also does not have a wine list this is very limited. ”
