“It was expensive for the room we were in which was a ground floor annex alongside the main building. There was no cooked breakfast provision and the restaurant looked like a canteen. Very nice hotel building and grounds.”

“We loved our stay here. Stylish, spacious and comfortable room with a modern bathroom. The pub and rooms had been recently refurbished with great care. We stayed in room 8 which backed out onto the courtyard behind the pub and had velux windows which you could watch the stars through. Despite being part of a pub, we found our room to be very quiet after 9pm. Breakfast was fantastic, the veggie option was delicious and the ingredients felt very high quality. Top notch poached eggs too! We ended……

“In a lovely historic building set within pleasant grounds, especially as the wisteria was in flower. Very helpful staff, lovely room and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perhaps a little disappointing- dry basic with little choice of healthy cereal or cooked food if you are vegetarian. Overall very good though.”

However the building outside looks run down and grubby Parking is definitely an issue however we found a carpark and left car all over the weekend and just made sure we used the app to pay in the morning.Room does obviously have damp issue as we where in the basement ,no……
