“Great room, clean, had everything we needed. Lovely staff, delicious breakfast and great location.”

“This is a very old Inn with oak beams and uneven floors. The facilities were good however the room was unbearably hot. Even though we had 2 fans on we were just covered in sweat as soon as we came out of the shower. It was impossible to sleep.”

“We thought the room was not worth the price. It was a bit shabby and lacked the extras with a room that price. Early evening we saw two rats outside on our patio. There was a lack of staff at certain times and this was communicated to us when asking for breakfast. The bar and gardens were lovely, they were very helpful with our food choices but the Sticky toffee pudding was not to a good standard.”

“Stain on bed, noisy plumbing, the slowest toilet flush in history. But otherwise a pleasant stay.”

“Very basic hotel, fine if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night. Hot taps are very hot and water pressure is very high, so difficult to get the flow and temperature right for a shower, without it being too hot or too cold, or blasting water horizontally. Shower curtain very small so bathroom floor is flooded after a shower. Beds are very hard and not very comfortable. I only booked this because nothing else was available (high demand due to BTCC at Thruxton). Staff was very friendly……

“Location was good, hotel is very old, tacky, staff at front desk are good but can’t do much and when you ask to speak to the manager, he doesn’t come out on purpose and didn’t even show up the next day. Rooms are very old, no iron and blow dryer in the room. Terrible stay, no AC, the guy at the swimming pool entrance was unhelpful. Not a 4 star hotel, there are 2 star hotels better than this.”
