“May 19-22 2026. Uninhabitable: 30°C Rooms, Hotel-Wide AC Failure, and Phantom Management I checked into the Wyndham Gatineau-Ottawa at 9:30 PM on May 19, 2026, only to be casually informed upon arrival that the entire building's HVAC system had failed. I was handed the keys to a room sitting at an entirely unacceptable 30°C, with sealed, unopenable windows. Given the late hour and lack of alternative accommodations, we had no choice but to accept a cheap fan and endure a suffocating, sleepless……

“The Hotel is in an old building that looks nicely maintained. There's a pub there, a coffee shop/cafe, and some nice outdoor patio/seating areas. There is no hotel staff on site. We did not receive the check in instructions before our arrival and had to scramble with help from the restaurant staff and a property manger for some apartments attached to the hotel to help us (the mix up may have been by the remote hotel management staff or and issue with Expedia messaging). The room was bleak, very……

Parking right outside motel door unless you're on the 2nd floor. Right on the main strip of Arnprior. Madawaska river runs near it. Nice, quaint town with all amenities if necessary: Canadian tire, Dollarama, Foodland, Giant Tiger. For the cheaper price, it's very worth it.”
