“We stayed at Islander Inn for a bachelorette trip specifically because of the advertised pool and swim-up bar amenities. Before arriving, I called the day before check-in because it was early in the season and temperatures were only around 70 degrees. I was told the pool would not be open due to the weather. However, when we arrived, it became clear that the issue was not weather at all — the entire pool and swim-up bar area was under heavy construction and essentially torn apart. We paid full……

“The best things I can say about the room is it was clean and the view is wonderful, other than that, for the price it is hard to believe that you get no fridge or microwave. The elevator was sporadically working, not fun when you are on the 3rd floor and walk with 2 canes. When reported to front desk, he said I will look into it as he kept reading his magazine. The pools were disgusting, I realize they were going to be working on them that week, but they took away from the beauty of the view. ……

“No outlets next to bed. Rooms are outdated. We could hear the drunks outside really loud no one at office to call. We will never stay there again. We had plans to stay 3 nights after first horrible night we canceled and left.”
