“This was everything we wanted and more in a honeymoon. The cabin was cozy, clean, and romantic. We wanted somewhere secluded with limited cell service (the WiFi was excellent but we switched our phones off). We were able to enjoy ourselves and our time with limited distractions. We can’t wait to return! ”

“The property was exactly as listed. Location was great, situated very close to downtown, the national park mansion, and the farm. The apartment was very light, clean and organized. The kitchen was well stocked. There was some construction at the property next door that started early, but that is not necessarily something that could have been controlled and was a short term situation. I would recommend this property.”

“Stayed while my husband took a course at King Arthur Baking School. We were also able to bring our dog, so very grateful for this. Host was lovely. A very comfy respite and a lovely place to stay. ”

“This was a wonderful home base for our first visit to Vermont. We’ve become avid hikers and nature lovers, so we wanted something a little off the beaten path but with all the creature comforts we needed to unwind after a 12 hour drive there and 12 hour hikes. The hosts were very accommodating, even leaving us a cooler with ice to help keep food cold since there’s only a mini fridge and we stayed 4 days. The property is beautiful and looks like the land around it, which I loved. We slept like……

“This home has it all! Beautifully decorated, cozy fireplace, spacious private surroundings, the BEST claw foot bathtubs, mountain and star views magnificent! We had 12 people and the home’s size afforded us all plenty of privacy. Great stove in kitchen. Plenty of firewood stacked. Off grid living was cool! No TVs! Such a needed break from the seasonal chaos! Highly recommend ❤️”

“This house was perfect for my family as we traveled for a wedding. My two brothers and our family’s got comfortably in this wonderful home that was very close to the venue. We had easy access to all local spots and it had everything we could ask for. Very responsive hosts and all around amazing people and experience. Would recommend!!!!”

“A few days before arrival, we were sent an email containing instructions for the property. These instructions were addressed to another individual and dated 2021, which seems to be an indication of the last time the property had any attention. Arrival was fairly smooth, following the instruction sheet. The exterior of the house was somewhat worn, with sections of missing gutter, worn paint, and loose entry steps. Inside, both the garage and in the main living area were cluttered and dusty. It……

Everyone loved the home as well as the beautiful surrounding area, especially the hikes by the stream right nearby. The check-in process was smooth and effortless, which made everything even easier. “The long winding driveway through the forest opens to a park-like landscaped vista. Every flower garden, and they are everywhere you look, was in full bloom. Song Sparrow Cottage has a fairytale, idyllic setting. The cottage itself is nothing short of spectacular in its construction and attention to detail. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything. One could never tell that this is an "off grid" property. James and Michele were a pleasure to work with. ”
