“Lovely hotel. Room was well appointed, clean, neat and very comfortable. The entire ambiance of the hotel was lovely. Understated opulence. However, let down, in my opinion, by the restaurant. Clearly a very popular spot and very large (but feels homely by the way it is spread around and compartmentalised (in a nice way) the food is expensive and simply not value for money. Fancy for the sake of fancy and barely adequate in terms of quality. Problem is the hotel is too remote to go anywhere……

“Accommodation was okay. Some areas a bit tired looking but generally clean and well kempt. The ladies on reception went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Always a smile for anyone they met. They are a credit to Days Inn. Major gripe is that parking is charged at £5 per night on top of the rate. The car park is clearly theirs and only a few vehicles parked there overnight. I have a blue badge, parked in one of the disabled bays throughout our stay. There was no concession for this……

“This was our second time in the hotel. We asked for the same room (in advance) and we got it . I wish there was air conditioning in the rooms. I love the little tea room with daily cake! It makes me feel like on a skiing holiday in a chalet”

“Fantastic communication from the outset. Easily found and right next door to The Mayflower public house so after a long journey there’s no further travelling to do to get an evening meal. Plenty of parking, very easy check in and an exceptional selection of produce supplied for breakfast next morning. Good heating system, great bed, powerful shower, all in all with all of the other attentions to detail a great stay, very highly recommended.”
