“Clean, friendly staff.”

“I liked the size of the room, the TV sucked and also the breakfast, they didn't have much I tried to put jelly on my toast and couldn't even get it out of the package it was like rubber, the waffle maker was all rusty and there was no waffle mix. the ham and cheese omelet didn't have any ham or cheese in it. there was no hot water the night before we left and none the next morning so we couldn't shower, also no staff to let them know. also we could smell pot in the hallway ,would not recommend……

“Clean rooms and bar”

“When we arrived we had to wait for staff at the front desk despite it being 3pm. When we checked into our room there was only a small window and hat you could barely look out. The shower curtain had no liner and leaked. Again had to wait for staff and replace it myself as there was not Maintence staff. Again, no liner. My wife at this point purchased a curtain liner so we could shower. The sheets also had stains but at that point I was spent and not up to mailing too beds with the lack of……

“The water in the shower was cold -- There was no HVAC vents or way to control the climate in the room -- No one was working the desk when I checked in - my key was scotch taped to the door in an envelope .. The people in the resturant were very nice and welcoming ..”

“Very nice staff. Bucks lounge was very nice, the bartender was very kind and made good suggestions.”

“Clean room. Awesome staff. 24/7 Keurig in the lobby. Walkable to shops and restaurants (strongly recommend Theresa’s cafe for lobster roll). We stayed Sat-Tue, and it’s important to know that many local/regional restaurants are not open Mon/Tue (not sure about Sunday, we had a picnic). The only thing I wish were better was the breakfast - limited choices, mostly carbs, of course and only boiled eggs for GF. They have limited space to serve, so I understand, but it would have been nice to have……

“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin.The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left……
