“We decided on a whim to stop overnight in Taos and booked this non-smoking room based on price around 10:30. We checked in about 11:00 and were only staying the one night. We were exhausted from driving all day and immediately showered and went to bed. I woke up around 3:00 AM with my nostrils stinging and a heavy smell of an astray filled with old, used cigarettes. Neither my wife nor I smoke, but growing up with a parent that did, I clearly remember this smell. My wife was sleeping, so I did……

“The property and rooms were very nice, incredibly nice staff lots of parking. The only issue was in the elevator and the 2nd floor there was an awful smell. I don't know if it was the cleaner or something but it was not a pleasant smell. The smell was there through the whole weekend so it wasn't just a one time thing.”

“We checked in late evening to just have an overnight staycation since we actually live in Ranchos de Taos nearby. The staff member was great at check in. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in the room made alot of noise throughout the night & kicked on & off so much we did not get a good night’s rest. We ended up checking out before 6 am the next morning so we could go home & rest. We informed the front desk & she said she would speak to management……
