“We really enjoyed our stay in one of the cabins at Highlands resort. It was at the tail end of a long road trip and it was probably our favorite stay of the entire trip. The overall setup is just enough for city slickers like us to feel like we're a tad off the beaten path without sacrificing any creature comforts. “If you love nature this is the perfect place to be. There are many beaches and trails nearby. My husband and I saw animals during our stay that we don't typically see. Harbors seals, Humpback whale (that sadly was deceased) Turkey Vultures, Scrub jays, Red-shoulder hawk, Black-tailed jack rabbit, Douglas squirrel, Gray fox, Brown pelicans, Osprey, Sheep with even a time they were being hearded across a road into a field, and Black-tailed mule deer. “Such a beautiful house and a stunning location. The hot tub was gross when we arrived & they sent a team out quickly to drain, clean & refill it & it heated up quickly enough for us to go in that day! Access was easy with a lock box on the front door & my friend even charged his Tesla in the garage! It was a bit stuffy in the home, the air conditioning was needed and was not very effective & there was no breeze & no fans. I bet if I had asked for some fans they would have brought us some. ……
