Lighting in the parking lot and room was absolutely terrible. Entering the building felt unsafe. The area was deserted and dark. The building was under construction and the front desk was moved to a hallway. Very strange and poorly communicated. I'd have expected an email prior to arrival. The place was a ghost town and very off-putting. My room would have been fine, except that the lighting was so incredibly dim. The bedside lights barely made a difference and there was no main light in the room to illuminate the space. Easily fixable, management, but you're making your guests feel very uncomfortable. I would not stay here again. A very strange experience.

It is spacious rooms with dining and living room with nice couches. It is in downtown Pittsburg but quite at night. I liked very much and will visit again in the future

The bed and fireplace were great, as was the full-size fridge. But the room was DARK. Great for sleeping but not good for finding your clothes, or even knowing if you dressed properly since you couldn't really see yourself in the mirror. Just bedside reading lights and one dim light on one side of the room near the entry. I honestly don't know if it was clean. We couldn't see. The fixtures were all new and modern, and bathroom with rainshower was nice. The hotel is a strange combination of trendy, new, and "we forgot the basics". Like a coffee maker or hot cups.

Nice, clean place close enough to the airport. I’d stay here again.

Over the past four years we have stayed at the Joinery, which is close to Point Park University's campus. The hotel is getting a little worn. I noticed things like peeling wall paper, loose tissue holders, loose hooks, etc. I always sleep well at the Joinery, the heavy curtains help keep the room dark. I also use the workout room, which would benefit from a deep clean. The Joinery is a good hotel, not as expensive as some others nearby with adequate amenities.
