“wonderful home for a weekend vacation! house is within walking distance to the tow square that is filled with bars, shops, and restaurants! the entire house had a very comfortable, warm feel to it. everything was extremely clean and well equipped! My girlfriend and I loved it so much we’ve talked about making it a yearly trip!”

“TL:DR VERSION: This is a great space and a welcoming host. Well-furnished and has lots of nooks and enhancements that make it a nice place to stay. After our departure there were substantially charged communications that occurred with the owner after that were only partially grounded; the owner’s communication included some unnecessarily inflammatory accusations/implications invoking DCFS and some bothersome invocation of children being observed outside on security cameras. “We had a very disappointing experience with this VRBO rental. Before our stay, we unfortunately had a death of a horse and needed to cancel. The host declined our request and only offered a 50% refund, which put us in a difficult position. Since we couldn’t recover most of our money, we decided to go ahead with the trip anyway. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of the home was far below expectations. There were dishes in the drying rack on the counter. Newspapers all over the counter. Dirty sponge……
