“Each time we have visited we have been so happy with how well this cabin is stocked. We cook every night and the kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, cutlery and knives. Some essentials are always there as well. Everything is clean and it all makes for a great stay. Looking forward to our next visit.”

“Cabin was very clean, roomy and comfortable. Neighbors on same property were very quiet, allowing us to enjoy the solitude of the foothills. While the property is not far from downtown Placerville mileage-wise, you definitely feel more secluded and in a very rural area. Communication was great and check-in was a breeze. “The cabin was perfect! The hosts really thought of everything right down to a kit in the bathroom with a nail file and q tips and as a woman with thick hair the blow dryer was perfect! The deck was beautful at night with the string lights and with only neighbors behind you it felt so secluded! Kitchen fully stocked, couches and bed so comfortable and the spare room set up for kids with a gaming system was awesome! All of this for a crazy good price! We definitely plan on coming back!!”

“My wife and I stayed at Apache Pines in September for hiking and site seeing, and again in February to ski at Bear Valley. We like the house and its location and are likely to stay there in the future. Parking would be an issue in the winter if there are more than two cars. The lower level of the house has a bedroom, bath and family room which are great if traveling with kids. There is no master suite, the two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. This is a great place for a small group or family....

“We had a such a lovely visit to the Mountain House with our group of 8. It was clean, spacious, and a perfect layout for our group of two families. The kids had so much fun exploring the yard, playing air hockey, and sleeping in the bunk room. The adults were extremely comfortable in the two bedrooms upstairs. The master is suite is incredible. The property exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely return.”

“We enjoyed our weekend stay at the little cabin in the pines. Cabin is super cute and had the amenities we needed. Location is good and not far from Sly Park/Jenkinson Lake. Only downside is the parking at the cabin because of the hillside. Wouldn’t recommend taking a car but our truck and SUV did fine. Definitely recommend this cabin!”

“We brought our kids and their kids. We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for us. The hot tub was amazing. The game room was so fun! We had Pac-Man enthusiasts that were very happy. Rooms were great and beds comfy. Hosts were attentive. Side note, there was some white dog hair on love seat…not from our brown dog! No problem just wanted to let you know. Thanks for sharing your home!”

“We had a wonderful stay at the cabin over President's Day weekend. We had 4 adults and 3 kids and enjoyed the pool table, kitchen, & beautiful woods (for snowball fights & sledding - brought our own sleds). In the listing, it says there are three bedrooms, but that is inaccurate. There are two enclosed bedrooms with doors, though the listing photos make it look like three. The upstairs master "bedroom" is an open loft with views to the main floor below. This means little privacy for whoever...

“This house was so beautiful! It was huge! It had so many amenities from the pool, BBQ grill, ping pong table, cornhole, pool table, basketball court, pickle ball etc. Absolutely loved the decor and how spacious the house was esp the kitchen. Great for large families. So many places to sit whether it be the large dining table in the atrium or in the kitchen. We even enjoyed the media room and watched movies together there. The kids loved to see the frogs in the pond. Everything was just perfect...

“I’m a mom of three kids, and told my husband that all I wanted for Mother’s Day was a night to myself, full of self care and good sleep. This cozy cottage was more than I ever expected. I loved the antiques incorporated into the decor and farmhouse feel. The bed was so comfortable and the outdoor environment was charming and inviting. The hostess was communicative and kind.”
