“We can't rave enough about Black Thistle! It provided the perfect setting for both our rehearsal dinner and getting ready for the big day at Brunswick Ballroom, just down the street. The venue's ambiance was incredible, and we even took our wedding photos there – they turned out stunning! We absolutely loved the combination of the dark wood and black accents”

“The property was not cleaned from previous guest's stay. Pile of dirty laundry in living room floor, dirty kitchen counter tops, trash not removed, bathroom not cleaned, no sheets on beds and beds unmade.”

“We were here for a quick one night stay, arrived late so were bummed we did not have more time to enjoy the space. There were only two of us but this would be a really fun and easy place for a family or two to stay. Very convenient, comfortable living spaces, games, TV’s, kitchen, and bathrooms, everything you could need. Charming old house with the quirks we are used to as we also have an old house. Yard looked nice too. Very convenient location and responsive host. Thank you!”

“We had a several day event at the Topeka Capitol building. The house fit our needs well. It was clean and had good parking for 2 possibly 3 cars in driveway. The beds were comfortable and towels soft.”
