Stranahan House is the home of Fort Lauderdale pioneers Frank and Ivy Stranahan. Built in 1901 as a trading post and converted into a residence for the Stranahans in 1906, the house is the oldest surviving structure in Broward County.

Colee Hammock Park is a peaceful little spot on the water near Las Olas Boulevard. It is beautiful to look past the tall, old trees and shady lawn to the blue of the water beyond and the boats gliding by. Mansions line the shore of the waterway, making for a nice view.
