Barikiya plays a crucial role in animal welfare by providing retired horses with a second career in tourism. In Japan, horses often face limited options after retirement. By offering them a new purpose, we essentially save their lives while allowing them to thrive in a healthy environment. We also work on preserving Japan’s cultural heritage, the ancient art of Yabusame (horseback archery), which is less practiced in modern times. By sharing this tradition with people from around the world, we strive to keep this important part of our history alive.
