Iguazu Falls Tour on Brazil Side

Activity Location

Iguazu

Meeting/Redemption Point
  • Puerto Iguazu

Description

Head to Iguazu National Park for breathtaking views over the Brazilian side of Iguaza Falls. This natural wonder's 275 cascades are both taller and wider than Niagara Falls.

After being picked up from your hotel, cross the border into Brazil's Iguazu National Park. This side of the falls offers the best perspective to see Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat); these 14 interconnected falls tumble down 350 feet (106 m) and send up a powerful cloud of rainbow-striped mist.

Admire the 2-mile (3.2-km) stretch of the falls, which curves across the Parana Plateau in a half-moon horseshoe of white water, verdant islets, and mist-drenched rocks. Trek down the trails of the park's subtropical forest to the base of Salto Floriano. Watch for nosy, raccoon-like coatis along the way. Then ride the elevator up to the panoramic viewpoint at the top.

On your return trip, stop at Rafain Churrascaria for a typical Brazilian lunch of grilled meats in a dynamic and energetic setting complete with live music, dancing, and entertainment.

It was basically just the transportation to and from falls. Tour guide did not stay with group or give any information. Pickup was over 1 hour late. Poor coordination from main and local office. Bad customer service. DO NOT recommend

It's definitely worth a trip to the Brazil side. Amazing. Don't forget to get a visa if you are American. Only downside is the crowd. If you can schedule a trip in the afternoon it would be a less crowded and more pleasant experience. All the buses go in the morning.
