Activity itinerary

Dunas de Maspalomas (Pass by)
We depart at 9:00 AM towards the centre of the island, and our first stop is at a “Mirador”, (which is Spanish for viewpoint). There are spectacular views of Playa del Inglés and the world- renowned sand dunes
Fataga (Pass by)
We then move onto Fataga, a peaceful village, perched in a valley, made up of small whitewashed houses and charming, narrow streets, full of flowers. It is nestled in between ravines, pine trees and unique palm groves
San Bartolome de Tirajana (Pass by)
We will visit a traditional 19th century house, which has been converted into a museum. It’s still retaining the original furniture and decor of the former owner (a Doctor) and his medical office, as well as two rooms which have been converted a weaving room and oil mill. (The museum is closed in August and September). We will visit the local church, a Sanctuary of Serenity in the Mountains before continuing on the road to Tejeda
Tejeda (Pass by)
Nestled in the heart of the charming village of Tunte, the Church of San Bartolomé is more than a place of worship — it’s a gateway to the spiritual and cultural soul of Gran Canaria. Built in the 18th century, its elegant neoclassical architecture stands out with a pristine white façade, graceful lines, and a modest bell tower that watches quietly over the village. Tejeda has been recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site and is noted as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain.
Tejeda
  • 45m
Lunch time (food expenses not included). In the charming mountain village of Tejeda, a typical Canarian restaurant is waiting for you, a culinary gem that celebrates the flavors of Gran Canaria with warmth and authenticity. This cozy restaurant offers a delightful blend of traditional Canarian cuisine and creative touches, all served in a welcoming setting with rustic charm and modern elegance. Guests can savor local favorites such as” ropa vieja”, “papas arrugadas”, “Gofio”, alongside standout desserts like the signature almond cake and nougat tart — a tribute to the region’s almond-growing heritage. Whether you choose to dine indoors or in the tranquil courtyard, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a leisurely lunch
Tejeda (Pass by)
After the lunch we will walk through the village and visit the Church of Tejeda. Nestled in the heart of Tejeda’s main square, the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Socorro) is a beautiful example of Canarian colonial architecture. Built in the 18th century, its whitewashed façade and elegant bell tower stand out among the red-tiled rooftops of the village, offering a striking visual contrast and a peaceful atmosphere. Inside, you will find gilded altars and a serene ambiance that invites reflection and quiet admiration. The church remains a central gathering place for locals, hosting regular masses and religious celebrations. It also plays a cultural role in the community, occasionally organizing concerts, exhibitions, and talks that enrich the spiritual and social life of Tejeda.
Cruz de Tejeda (Pass by)
We then move on to an area known as Cruz de Tejeda. Perched at 1,560 meters above sea level, Cruz de Tejeda marks the geographic center of Gran Canaria and serves as a scenic mountain pass with breathtaking views of the island’s rugged interior. Its name comes from the stone cross that stands proudly at the site, a symbolic landmark surrounded by dramatic peaks and deep ravines. From this scenic lookout, visitors can gaze across deep ravines, pine-covered slopes, and volcanic rock formations like Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga. On clear days, the silhouette of Mount Teide (standing at 3,715 meters above sea level around 2.3 miles) on the neighboring island of Tenerife rises majestically on the horizon. We will stop for photos and perhaps a quick look at the market stalls
Pico de las Nieves (Pass by)
And then head our next stop, will be the “Pico de Las Nieves”. To appreciate the essence of a place and soak up its atmosphere there is nothing better than getting to the highest point. In Gran Canaria this is the Pico de las Nieves lookout point right in the centre of the island. At 1,949 metres (1.211 miles) above sea level the uninterrupted views out over the Unesco Biosphere Reserve, with its innumerable deep valleys and jagged ridges shrouded with vegetation and crowned with spectacular rocks.
Santa Lucía de Tirajana (Pass by)
We then start our return to the south, but not before stopping at Santa Lucía de Tirajana. Here we stop for pictures of the historic church, made unique by the beautiful curve of its dome and the whiteness in contrast with its surroundings. The tour ends at your accommodation at approximately 6pm/6:30pm.
