Description

In 2020, Ripley’s Penguin Playhouse opens for guests to come face to beak with African penguins in a world-class penguin habitat, with floor-to-ceiling viewing glass more than 50 feet long and a 360-degree crawl tunnel for guests to waddle through and immerse themselves.

Ripley’s Aquarium wants you to Sea Things Differently! Located at Myrtle Beach’s premiere entertainment, dining and shopping complex, “Broadway At The Beach,” the Aquarium offers hours of family fun 365 days a year! Explore more than 14,000 fish on display plus interactive experiences - you can pet a jellyfish, stingray or bamboo shark, hold a horseshoe crab and enjoy hourly dive shows. Ride along our 330’ glidepath through the Shark Tunnel and come face-to-face with huge, deadly sharks, an 11’ sawfish and Gabby the Green Sea Turtle!

In the Rio Amazon display, watch for piranhas, poison-dart frogs, and other creatures that thrive in the lush and humid rainforest. In the Living Gallery, admire the strange and stunning creatures that call the reef home, from camouflaged weedy sea dragons to a long-tentacled giant Pacific octopus. At Rainbow Rock, the bright colors of the rainbow are found underwater in this Indo-Pacific coral reef with clown triggerfish, regal blue tang, and bright emperor angelfish among the delicate corals.

Little visitors can channel their inner marine biologist as they roll up their sleeves and gently hold onto a horseshoe crab in the Discovery Center, an interactive playground with puzzles and games. Check the schedule to see what feedings and shows are going on during your visit, and be sure to stop at Friendship Flats, where you can pet gentle stingrays in the shallows.

Upon coming in I didn't feel welcomed it was very weird. The guy who took my tickets wasn't very friendly at all. But other than that it was pretty cool.
