Description

The skip-the-line tour starts at the Syntagma metro station where you’ll take part in a 10-minute tour inside of the station’s museum. The next stop is the Greek Parliament, followed by the Monument to the Unknown Soldier to watch the Changing of the Guards in a unique ceremony.

The walk continues to the National Gardens of Greece, Zappeion, Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. The walk continues on to the next stop: the Acropolis.
Entering on the south slope of the Acropolis, you’ll visit the Dionysus Sanctuary and Dionysus Theater before you walk up the slope leading to the Acropolis monuments. Panoramic views of the city will be perfect for Instagram-ready photos.
During your tour, you’ll gain insight into the significance of the historic monuments of Acropolis including the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Propylaia, the Nike Temple as well as other significant sights of Athens including the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Ancient Agora, the National Observatory of Athens and the city’s scenic hills: Filoppapos, Mars, and Pnyx.
On your way to the Ancient Agora, you will have the opportunity to explore one of the oldest neighborhoods in the world: Plaka. You will stroll this unique urban pocket of culture and charm which oozes with atmosphere; the perfect spot to snap the most memorable photos as you stroll down the narrow stone pedestrian walkways and wander cobbled paths shaded by colourful bougainvillea. Passing by the Roman Agora and Hadrian’s library you’ll find yourself to lively Adrianou street with many shops and cafes. Right across the beautiful Orthodox church of St. Philippe’s is the main entrance of the Ancient Agora: the cradle of Western civilization, where the greatest Greeks such as Plato, Socrates, Demosthenes, e.t.c. theorized, spoke out and debated. The tour ends at the Agora.
