"Great place to stay"

"Consistently Good"
This is the third time I have stayed at the hotel (January 20th to 21st). Rudesheim doesn't have much going on at this time of year, as many shops are closed until March. However, the hotel was consistently superb. Staff was great, rooms were good, and the breakfast was also good. This is my favorite place to stay in Ruedesheim.

"Very Nice Hotel"
We spend a week in the area and this was our hotel for 3 days, it was very nice and confortable. Clean and modern room/bathroom. It is a little away from Koblenz but excellent location if you have a rented car. Breakfast was not included but was very good, anything you could imagine was in the buffet.

"A perfect place to stay"
What a lovely out of the way place. You get all the perks without the crowds. Its a easy short walk from the station. Then you have the quaint hotel, right on the water. Its been in the family for 400 years, 19 generations!. The owners were warm friendly people and as the owner was also the chef and a darn good one at that, the food was fantastic. The breaky perfect, sitting overlooking the boats going up and down the river. If you want a break from the usual tourist haunts yet with a few tourists perks then this is the place to go. Definately will stay here again.

"The majestic Rhine"
We have always wanted to se the Rhine and finally,we did . It did not disappoint. The Rheinhotel Lamm was rated highly and it is a ver accurate rating. From the time we arrived to the time we left we were treated as friends rather than clients. The younger gentleman was so very helpful showing us our room before we entered to see if it met our standards . It did. I was looking out at the Rhine river !!! The restaurant was excellent and we selected to eat there both days. My wife has an allergy to gluten and we were so worried in Germany but there was no need. They fully understood and catered appropriately. I had the snitzel ( twice)! It was amazing. With breakfast include it was a wonderful deal.
The owner operator was so very friendly as well. Excellent service in an excellent hotel.
I will return and, ... So should you. You will not be disappointed.

"great central location for Rhine & Moselle casltes"
very nice staff. their free parking is a bit limited though. hotel perfect for a central location to visit all the Rhine castles and Moselle castles. Take the road west straight out of Boppard to Burg Eltz and Burg Thurrant!

"Great little hotel with a nice bar and restaurant"
We used this little hotel as a stop over on our way to skiing in Austria and liked it so much we stayed there again on our way back. Although it is outside Koblenz it is a very convenient location and ticked all the boxes for us - a good beer in the bar and great food in the restaurant. It is run and staffed by a family and they are all very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

"Cute hotel with great service"
Very pleasant stay at the Hotel Altes Haus. Ladies who run it speak pretty good english and have a REALLY good red wine called Rudesheim (sp?) in the attached restaurant. Felt warm and welcome. Rooms are simple but had everything we needed for our one night stay.

"A place to relax and enjoy good food."
This is a hotel where you could spend a few days and never leave the hotel grounds. Superb pool and spa. We didn't play golf but the popularity of the course suggests it's good. Very popular with groups of lady golfers. There are well-marked walks from the hotel.
A superb hot and cold breakfast buffet is served - doggy bags are provided! When we stayed dinner was a buffet with a wide choice ; there was an a la carte option. Dinner good value at 28 euros each. Restaurant staff are excellent.
We stayed in the old part of the hotel which was not air-conditioned. However our room was huge and airy so quite comfortable. Our childrens' room was smaller and rather wam-but it was 38 degrees.
Hotel is about six miles from Boppard so a car is essential. Hotel is a good base for touring.I would suggest that this hotel is suitable for families like ours with older children - say at least 11/12.
Finally the hotel has its own chapel.

"Super family run hotel"
I made a specific request when I booked the hotel and it was met in full.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times and made every effort to make our stay a good one. They succeeded.
The hotel is perfectly located within the old town, immediately adjacent to the Christmas Market.
The menu has a good choice, as does the wine list, and the food and drink did not disappoint.
We plan to return in the summertime.
