“Inexpensive and comfort hotel in Aix-en-Provence”
It has good utilities and kind service.
“Affordable Aix”
Modern simplicity with rates and accomodations suited to the business traveller, Citea also provides an affordable option for leisure visitors to explore Vieil Aix without the expensive heart-of-town rates, if trading charm for savings is acceptable. Ten minutes by city bus or 20-30 minutes walk to the train station or bus depot, just off the major highways. Friendly concierge and optional breakfast are perks. The hotel is by no means atmospheric but it is clean and well-run.
“good value for the price”
Modern with multiple room in apartments, this place is on the outskirts of Aix. However a bus runs every 20 minutes or so into town. The choices of beds were one double bed and/or one double hideabed. If multiple people in multiple bedrooms, request a room where access to the bathroom is not through the bedroom only.
“Not the Hilton, but it worked for me!”
I selected this hotel based on price and previous reviews. This place was exactly as described at a price far less than my friends paid for lesser rooms in the city center. The little kitchen was more complete than I expected, including 2 ways of making coffee, all utensils, pans, and of course a wine screw. The '3' rating for cleanliness was only b/c the bedspread had a grease mark. All else was fine.
“Good price near downtown and with a small kitchen / office desk”
The hotel was better than I expected. The front desk were very helpful and all of them speak English very well. The room was OK. It had a little kitchen so we saved some money there having breakfast and dinner in the room. The wireless high speed internet was very good (I had to work a little bit, so it saved me). It was a 15 minutes walk to the downtown, and there was also a huge market (Geant Casino) 10 minutes walk from the hotel (opposite direction to downtown).
“Good deal (for Aix en Provence)”
Any traveler to Aix should know that Southern France (and Aix in particular) is a very expensive place and packed with tourists. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown (25 - 30 minutes) and if you take the bus (line 6), it will take not even 10 minutes and costs 1.10 Euro (buses run every 15 minutes between 6 am and 9 pm). Given its location, the price and the size of the rooms (with little kitchenette), this is a very good deal. The people at the reception are mostly friendly and helpful.
