“Felt dirty”
The room was good until I went to bed. I pulled the sheet back and found someone's hair between the sheets, it looked like the sheets had not been replaced with clean ones. I ended up sleeping without covers on top of the bed.
“Nice place in Old Town”
Room was clean and well-kept, and very reasonable rates!
“Great place, Great price, Great location”
Staff was very nice, and helpful! Great location! Great price - why pay a zillion dollars to sleep? Walking distance to Old Town, stores, restaurants! If you want a good wi-fi signal ask for a room closer to the office. They changed our room with no problem so we could get a good signal. We'll stay there again if we're in the area!!!
“Torn Emotions”
This hotel is very convenient of the museums and aquarium/zoo. We requested a non-smoking room, but when we made it to our room, it smelled like someone had just put out a cigarette. They were polite and switched rooms for us. We had four people in our room (2 adults, 2 kids) but only 2 towels. No towels at the pool either. The hotel was pretty quiet. When I got home and checked my account, they had charged me for the stay, but I had already paid Expedia for this. When I called to tell them this, the manager was very polite, but charged me again when talking with the credit card company. So now I have paid 3 x's for this room. I'm sure it will work itself out, but very frustrating.
“A Comfortable room for the cost”
The location is perfect to walk to Old Town and the Art Museum. The Botanical Garden, Aquarium and Zoo are only 2 blocks away. It was quiet, clean and spacious for the modest cost. This is not a luxurious place, but perfectly fine. Breakfast is cereal, toast, waffles, yoghurt.
“you get what you pay for”
The good: cheap; reasonably clean; close to Old Town; walkable (25-30 min) to downtown; bus service to downtown; decent complimentary breakfast; nice and responsive management The bad: very much a "budget" feel to it all; the connecting door between two adjacent rooms did not lock and was just blocked by a table; the linen in one bed had not been changed since the previous guest, so I had to request for a new set; the AC was a bit louder and less efficient than one would like, but still did the job. Overall, for about 2.5 times less than the big hotels downtown, it was acceptable. Would i go there again to save money, yes. Would I take my wife there for a personal get-away, no.
“not so good.”
First of all the room had a table with two chairs that you couldn't even squeeze into. One of the bulbs in the restroom was fused out. The main reason I picked this hotel was because of the indoor pool. Sadly, I didn't even get to experience it due to the cloudy water. It looked as if it hadn't gotten filter in a very long time.
