Nile view

Cons: Check the rooms for broken items
The location was excellent with beautiful views and proximity to the downtown core. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Freshly picked garden flowers, delivered to the room was a nice touch. Some repair work was needed to the hardware in the rooms but they were otherwise clean and comfortable. I would recommend this facility , it was very good value for the money.

Dirty, broken hotel where mosquitoes eat you

Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Avoid this place at all costs. The hotel is in a great location right on the Nile, but they have obviously been hit by the downturn in tourism and decided not to invest any more money in it, so it has fallen into disrepair. Our room was right on the river with a lovely big window, but it was filthy. I mean you could see other people's hairs saying around the place, a layer of dust/dirt on most surfaces. The fittings were basic as it was, but these didn't always work, for example the lights. The hot water ran out half way through my shower and never came back. Best of all was the mosquitoes. The place was riddled with them and they gorged on us all night. We had to get up, deal the room as best we could, and spend two hours (2 am to 4 am) killing 15 or 20 of them. (And no, we did not leave our window open at dusk and it was not our own fault.) We were booked in for two nights and had stupidly allowed them to take the money at the start not the end, so when we went to leave after that horrible first night they wouldn't give us a refund. Or they would, but only after our plane had left! Just on principle, we said that's fine, we'll send a friend in to collect the money later. We rang a nice local fellow we had met the previous night and asked him if he felt like collecting the money from the hotel, a task he very much enjoyed doing, and we were happy he got the windfall rather than the awful hotel. You have been warned!

Lovely hotel

Pros: Pool area with lovely view of the Nile.
Cons: Room was small.
Location: Good location about 1/2 hour from the airport. Very nice spot on the Nile River. Close to the Bazaar.
The room was relatively clean. It was a small room but bathroom was decent size. The hotel itself was very nice, welcoming lobby and pool area were lovely.

There was no heating in the first night, making it a bit cold.

Is a Supeb Location and Budget Price Enough?

Posted Mar 29, 2012
Pros: Location
This hotel has a superb location unfortunately it does not provide the same level of accommodation. Our 'Nile View' room, was grubby and dated. The beds were uncomfortably hard. The bed linen and towels did not look well laundered they were grey rather than white. The sun bed towels were frayed and grubby as indeed were the sunbeds. The top deck viewing platform, between the pool and the Nile, was very poorly maintained with decayed deck covering which may be a risk in terms of tripping. The breakfast buffet was good with a range of choices to suit most tastes. The female member of staff in the restaurant was particularly helpful and friendly. She is an asset to the hotel. Two of the poolside bar staff did not seem to be able to understand what "change" and "tip" means in English so we would advise guests to have small notes and Egyptian pound coins available when paying their pool bar bill.

Nice view, medicore hotel

The hotel has a beautiful Nile view and is quite centrally located. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is not great, just ok in many regards and quite expensive for what they offer. They do not have double beds with a river view, they were moderately helpful, but not great, and the place was kept up alright, but not great (again).

best hotel in Aswan by a mile right next to the nile and away from the hassle of the feluca sellers outside. The breakfast was excellent the room superb and around the pool outstanding by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in and one of the cheapest 4 star in Aswan

Pyramisa Isis Corniche Aswan

While price is rather cheap, I was able to spent relaxing time in this resort hotel. The view of Nile river from its pool-side terrace is "extremely nice". Hotel staffs were basically kind and took care of my request (Abu-Simbel tour, taxi etc.) well. Of course other expensive luxury hotels might provide better services, but I am totally satisfied considering how much I paid. However, improvements are needed in break-fast box (prepared for Abu-Simbel tour) and hot-water system in bathroom.
