I've stayed at this hotel each year for the past three years. Since my last stay it was bought out by Motel 6 and I'm amazed at the decline in quality in the span of one year. No continental breakfast, chain-link fencing around the perimeter prevented access to the street I needed to use to get to my destination quickly, and an overall 'rougher looking' set of people in and around the area. Next year I will definitely pay more money to have a better locale and amenities.

OKPosted May 18, 2015
Cons: New linens and bathtub.
Location: Nice location to UT
Since only room we could find it was ok. At least freshly painted but stained linens. The linens were clean just needed new ones.

Staff was friendly room smelled like cigarettesPosted May 13, 2015
Staff was friendly, but for a non smoking hotel room smelled like cigarettes! No toiletries or fridge, coffee pot in room either. Close an convient to downtown/midtown. Denny's restaurant next door and covienience store next door also.

very averagePosted May 4, 2015
Pros: location and price
Cons: smoke from another room kept coming in; stop that, and put in a mini-fridge
Location: walking distance from Highland Station, a light rail station
It met the basic criteria of being clean, not too smelly and place to sleep.

Better than expectedPosted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Quiet. Bed comfort. Price.
Cons: Chest of drawers, shampoo.
Location: Nearly downtown. Lots!
We were surprised to sleep better there than at home. Good pillow-top mattress. Desk staff very helpful. No noise from outside helped good sleep. (Our friends who stayed at the Sheraton we awakened all night by rowdy guests and security banging and threatening noisemakers.) No frills, such as drawers, hairdryer, shampoo, so plan accordingly. Free a.m. coffee in lobby. A good deal in an expensive downtown.

Never againPosted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: Mop the floor, get better towels.
My socks became black after walking on the floor. The same piece of lint remained in the same spot on the floor for 5 days. No shampoo or hair dryer I can deal with, but the bugs blocking the non-working exhaust fan in the bathroom, as well as the stained bathtub and towels are inexcusable. Smoke came in through the air conditioning vent, people talking all hours of the night outside of the room. Never again!

Wouldn't recommend for anyonePosted Apr 11, 2015
The only good thing abt this room was that it was cold when walked in. The trash in the restroom was full, mirror had a huge crack, towel smelled like mildew. We called front desk to ask for a blow dryer and she said yeah hang in then hung up on us then we called back and said yeah I can't take it to yall because there are no other workers here. We ended spending more money then expected we to buy towelsand a blow dryer. Never again and was the only hotel that had a vacancy bc of some event going on.
