My big problem with the Sentral East Austin apartment is that it did not match the photographs posted on the website listing. I rented a one-bedroom apartment that (based on the photographs) was supposed to have a floating kitchen island with barstool seating. The apartment that I received had no dining seating or dining area at all. The living area did not even have a coffee table that my husband and I could have used for dining even though we were renting an apartment with a kitchen! We arrived after 11 pm, and fortunately the weather was nice enough that we could eat takeout on the patio. When I texted and then called the management company to try to rectify the issue, Sentral's staff told me that the website's photos were a representation of the unit and not the exact apartment. They said the complex was full, so they could not move me to another apartment. It was only due to my persistence that they agreed to find a coffee table for me. An old, scratched-up table did arrive that afternoon as promised. The rest of the apartment was satisfactory, and the inner courtyard was lovely. The apartment location is very convenient. Our apartment was quiet because it faced the courtyard, but I can imagine that apartments with windows facing the street might be noisy because there is quite a bar scene at night. I would not recommend Sentral because there is no way to know in advance whether the apartment you end up with will match the apartment you reserved and are paying for.

Unaware that SXSW was in it's final two days. Streets were closed. People were drunk and everything was outrageously expensive. Property was great. Parking is extra at $25 a night.
