Bad Kreuznach Pet-friendly hotels in Moselle, Germany

The staff was very accomadating even with the language barrier. If you use washclothes you will need to bring your own.

The hotel was clean and the room was a good size. The double bed was 2 singles put together, but they were of a good size and the room was warm ( we stayed in the hotel in November). The buffet breakfast was fine for us - cereals, meats & cheeses, breads, toast, yogurts, boiled eggs etc and the young girl serving was very helpful (especially as we don't speak German). Would recommend you need a car to visit this hotel. We were visiting our daughter who is working in the town for a few months and it was a long walk uphill to get to the hotel from Bad Kreuznach although it did only take 10-15 mins (think step areobics). The restaurant is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. We arrived late on Sunday afternoon and there was no lighting between the restaurant and the hotel which was a bit daunting as it was very dark. The en suite had a bath and a good powerful shower. There was complimentary water in the room, an expresso machine and a fridge (although you had to contact reception if you wanted the fridge stocked). There is a very small bar in the hotel (but we didn't see anyone in it), Would receommend Bella Italia and Mandarin Chinese restaurants to eat in Bad Kreuznach as we had a great meal in both.

I decided to stop at Bad Kreuznach to break a drive north. Not sure why I chose BK, but suffice to say I won't be going back. Plenty of evidence of a glorious past, but looks well past its sell-by date now. Hotel Michel Mort itself is very good, but was very quiet when we were staying. For example, there was absolutely no one in the bar area at 10pm in the evening. The surrounding area, despite being on a historic square with imposing church, is quite run down with seedy bars and over-refreshed beligerents in abundance. As I say, good hotel, shame about the place.
