Concierge Hotels in Basel

We had a great room on the top floor with fantastic view. But if you want the hotel's shuttle bus you must pre book it. Otherwise the 50 bus takes you right there - free if you have a hotel booking. We checked in late and checked out late. No problem. Good breakfast.

Great hotel to stay! Only bad side is they charge for internet, which is a necessity in today's world! Even small hotels have free internet, so that's the only bad side, nice pool.

I have been staying in Basel on and off for a year before coming across the Adagio. It has given me the convenience of a home from home without any of the paperwork and expense associated with having an apartment. Each room comes with a fold away double bed, desk, chairs, kitchen and very decent bathroom. For the business traveller, it is extremely convenient being close to the Messe and Claraplatz with an easy walk or tram trip over to the old town. There is a gym (limited) in the the basement and perhaps the best thing for me is being able to park my luggage at the hotel every week. There are also laundry facilities and bike storage. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There is a good breakfast available in the mornings, although no restaurant - which is not an issue with Claraplatz so close by. There is also a huge Co-Op 100 metres away. My only niggle is the internet which has been extremely patchy but a new system has recently been installed. All in all, a superb choice for anyone staying for a longer duration and not wanting a standard hotel.

We spent 2 nights there. It was very clean & quiet with comfortable beds. These requirements are important to us. We found it easily accessible to public transit, the Rhine and old town is a reasonable walk.

This warm hearted Swiss Hotel is just steps away from the main BBS train station. Located on a cobble stone square the Doorman welcomes you with the world famous Swiss kindness. In the middle of the square is the cities tram system that will take you everywhere. The hotel is very clean and is very well appointed with all modern conveniences, wifi etc. We were greeted by a very professional staff that was all to eager to make our stay an enjoyable one. The hotel is near wonderful restaurants and an wonderfully kept old down town area, a true Swiss treat.

Lovely character hotel. Spotlessly clean.with nice little touches..like warm cinnamon tea on table for guests..a selection of herbal teas(no coffee though) outside your room with filtered water.free apples and little chocolates It really was a special hotel. The front of the hotel is right on the river and has a very beautiful view. The tram from the main station stops about 30yards away...only but was the street side of the hotel had a small bar that was little rowdy but the free earplugs and solid double glazed window the hotel provides more than compensates for it.. lovely restaurant on site too. Great overnight stay..

Great location, beautiful view of the old city and the river. Close to transit and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean room that is basic, small but quite adequate.

Have stayed at the hotel before and would thoroughly recommend it. Excellent facilities and excellent value. So near City centre.

We booked this to be a luxury base whilst visiting family in Basel over Christmas. Very attentive staff, excellent facilities. This was an ideal base for us, being centrally situated in the town with everything either a short walk or tram ride away. Our very comfortable room had excellent views over the Rhine. We enjoyed being so close to the famous Christmas Markets.
