Beautiful view
This property was not very clean, there was cobwebs on the furniture, the cleaned dishes were dirty, the fireplace chimney needs cleaned, other parts of the house were not cleaned, not enough toilet paper and paper towel and the pictures that were on Vrbo were not as the house looked in real life. But the view was really pretty

All bedrooms are only full of beds. Spider webs everywhere. kitchen and restroom bad smell. Actual size is for max 5ppl but it says 9ppl. Verry narrow. Price is not affordable at all.

Nice location with private boat dock
Brought the 18 ft boat along for a great stay. Having a private dock was great. House was clean with nice views. We will return to Big Bear soon.

Amazing view & location
Our family loved this place. Lot of time spent on the decks with the amazing views of the lake. The private dock was a big hit with all. We had Kayaks and fishing going on. Trips to boulder island were fun. Could actually swim from the dock to the island. We rented Jetskis from a new friend Erik. He brought the 2 Jetskis to the private dock. We had them for 2 days. We rotated riding and docked the jet skis right there. It made the jet ski experience much better than going to the marina. For active family, looking for a reasonable price on a home with great views and a dock? This place is an excellent choice.

The good and bad
Overall our stay was great. The location of this home was fantastic. It has easy access to Boulder cove with the dock and a short drive to town and other sites. The kids loved the pool table and jumping off the dock. The view from the different decks were nice. The interior of the property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen tools were pretty well stocked. There were lots of extra blankets and pillows. BUT. The dock was in rough shape. There was an active ant problem in the downstairs bathroom. They had ant bait down there but that was it. All of the exterior areas were covered in pollen and spider/cobwebs and I had to sweep and dust off furniture before using it. That was disappointing for a summer stay when we would be using the patio furniture and different deck areas. The neighbors had a dog that barked every time we came outside or it could see or hear us on that side of the house. I don’t know if they were a vacation rental or residents but that was frustrating. It was outside one of the bedroom windows and kept one of the kids up one night. I would recommend staying here as long as your expectations are clear. This isn’t a luxury stay. It’s kind of like visiting an older relative’s cabin that they’ve slowly been updating over the years. Even with the few issues; it felt nostalgic, smelled like a woodsy cabin in a good way and felt adequately clean and cozy. This was our first time visiting Big Bear Lake and we will definitely be back.

Weekend getaway
Our employee and his family went up for a weekend getaway. They live in San Bernardino county, so it was a nice easy weekend for them. The house was the perfect location. They relaxed and played in the snow.

Big bear
Cabin was a good property for my first rental. The only downside was the heater only warmed the rooms up, the living room was always freezing and the fireplace caused the smoke detector to turn on Also downstairs the ceiling was leaking on the pool table so it really coundnt be used.
