First Time Stay, Will Definitely Return

Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: Breakfast included was a real meal, pet friendly, pristine rooms, great location, very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Something needs to be done about lack of communication between hotel and online booking agents. Management needs to keep an eye on housekeeping staff.
Location: Oak Tree is less than 20 min from Frederick, our destination, & much better than other affordable, pet friendly hotel closer to Frederick that we used.
The only reason I've given an overall rating of 4 instead of 5 is owing to confusion with our reservation. Despite the fact that I received an Expedia confirmation, when I called the hotel, as recommended by Expedia, to inform them we'd be bringing our dog, I was told no reservation was on file. The individual with whom I spoke, who was very courteous, informed me that online venues like Expedia were over-booking. I was, understandably dismayed, since I'd only contacted the hotel as a follow up and realized we may have arrived at the hotel and been turned away. However, the person with whom I spoke resolved the matter immediately and ensured a room would be reserved for us. Aside from that, and the fact that our room was not made up the next morning, everything else was really excellent. The room was spotless, comfortable, and the location of the hotel is very convenient. And the very best thing is that breakfast is NOT continental, but a full meal served at Penny's Diner! Wonderful!

Quaint comfort

Posted May 2, 2015
Pros: Clean comfortable beds and bathroom.
Cons: A pool would be nice.
Location: There is shopping areas near by. The train station is close also.
My stay at Oak Tree Inn was comfortable and a nice get away. I was treated very well and staff was very accommodating. I plan to return when I am in the area again very soon.

Pros: Clean, Spacious, Good Wi-fi
Cons: More coffee in the rooms... that's a tiny detail but i don't find any other thing to write here.
Location: more residencial, small business center half a mile from there.
Very good surprise! When i've read about comments and see the reasonable price, I thought about some quite/bad standing hotel... But not at all!! The building seems to have been completely renewed, rooms are big, beds are comfortable, large desk to work, flat screen TV, nice bathroom, fridge and microwave oven... and most important, it was perfectly clean! Even the corridors were smelling nice. Breakfast is complete, to take at the 24/7 restaurant stuck to the hotel. Not a lot of noise. I've been very well surprised. Nice stay in there. Would recommend definitely.

Excellence place to rest

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: Everything everything everything totally perfect.
Cons: I don't know everything worked out for me.t
Location: This is a perfect location in this beautiful town with several things to see and do. Too many things to post here but this hotel gives you choices.
Very great experience and a nice place to rest and relax. The staff was excellent and better than some 5 star hotels. The diner next door was perfect and the scenery is outstanding. This rates a 20+ on scale from one to ten. I'll stay there again in the future and anyone who chooses to stay there can't go wrong.

just a place to lay your head

Pros: the restaurant staff seemed friendly and helpful. the coffee was superb.
Cons: not being able to turn around in the room without hitting something
Location: easy to find in a pretty small town
if all you need is a cheap place to stay the night you won't be disappointed. the rooms are somewhat small and claustrophobic. Nice big shower. heat worked well. Kind of felt "iffy" the whole time we were there. Don't stay here if you are going to be out late and want to sleep in, like a prison, everytime someone opened and shut a door it reverberated up and down the hall. I think we were the only non railroad people there and at the crack of dawn they all got up and started veihicles and in and out with slamming doors. we never did get back to sleep and left early. the staff was borderline friendly and helpful. we asked for extra towels at check-in which arrived several hours after we needed them. we asked for a new blanket, as the one on the bed seemed stained and iffy. i don't blame the hotel (as normally cleaning a phone book is not part of the routine) but i had my wife look something up in the phone book upon arrival, and a used syringe fell out on the floor. scary
