B&B mit schönem AusblickPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com

A quaint, out-of-the way, historic spotPosted Apr 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our hostess was very attentive and helpful, demonstrating sincere hospitality. The location is certainly off the beaten path, but the directions we received by phone were precise and accurate. While our bedroom was spacious, the bathroom was cozy. The property would benefit from some exterior maintenance, which we understand the owner plans to implement this year. Also, some surfaces had not recently been dusted and not all lights were working. The owner has a friendly dog which we enjoyed, but some might not.

Bead and breakfast off the beaten trackPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pinhook Road in Calhoun is not on GPS, so you can not find this place using your GPS device. Be sure Google it on your phone or have clear directions before you go there to spend the night, as it is off the beaten track and road signs are very sparse in the area. But once you are there it is well worth the trouble.

Fantastic Place, People & AnimalsPosted Sep 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place was everything we were looking for and more. With a much appreciated cold drink. Within a few minutes we had unloaded the car and were settled in what can only be described as the nicest room of our 3 week stay in the US. The bed was large and very comfortable, the room had everything we needed, including a TV, Sofa, cupboard and draws and was beautiful to look at. We were advised to visit a restaurant called 'Michaels' if we were looking for some dinner, and I'm glad we took their advise. The restaurant was amazing. We were greeted the following morning with a fantastic breakfast which was a perfect end to a perfect stay. We only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. It was lovely to meet Audrey and Chester too after reading the other reviews on here. The best behaved and sweetest dogs I've met in a long time. It would be unfair not to mention the cats too, who were also lovely. If you are in the minds over staying here, just do it - you won't regret it.
There's a warm welcome at Pinhook Plantation HousePosted Jun 15, 2012
Pros: The house, the bedroom and the breakfast.
Cons: The drive for an evening meal.
Location: The address is Calhoun --not an inspiring town nor are any on the 411 but dont be put off. Its no distance into the Smoky Mountain foothills
Took sometime to find this B & B as its a bit off the beaten track for international travellers and our wifi wasn't working but we were more than pleasantly pleased to have made the effort to get off the main drag. The welcome was wonderful, the hostess generous and helpful, the room and bed very comfortable and breakfast kept us going for the whole day. I think the quiche was the best I've ever had: wonderfully light and fluffy and that was after the baked apple! We were given good directions up into the beautiful foothills and were so glad that we had been able to explore. For any Brit who did JMB 'O' level geography this is the place to see the work of the Tennessee Valley Authority....
