I loved this place. A little tricky to find, this hidden jewel is exactly what Cartagena is all about. Don’t pay attention to the naysayers who complain about noise… this is Cartagena, not known for quiet respite. Go to Sedona for that. The bar closes at 11 and I slept perfectly well in a clean room with a clean and comfortable bed. Call them if you need a late check in and they will waiti around for you. amazing service, great value. Look up Amasa cafe down the street for your meals and DO NOT leave Cartagena without trying their Amasa Spritz which I had for breakfast because that’s the way they do it here. Enjoy, complain less and appreciate that other countries don’t need to comply with our petty needs and overbearing opinions on how hosting should be. Great stay!

I booked my room several months in advance. The reviews warned not to get a room facing the street over the bar because it was loud. So I booked a more expensive room with a king-size bed. Well, they gave me the room over the bar facing the street with two queen beds. When I tried to show them the room I booked, they said they didn’t have king-size beds in ANY of their rooms even though the reservation clearly shows a king-size bed. I asked for a different room and they said they didn’t have anything available until my last night there (a Sunday night). Mind you, I’m 65. I’m not a party-er. I came to Cartagena to see the sights and a little culture. I had a horrible time falling asleep both nights. They know it’s a loud room They put 4 pairs of earplugs on the beds. So now I’m in another room for my last night. And… more noise - I suspect it’s a central A/C unit, and it’s worse than the other room in that it is running continuously. I give up on this place

The location was great- if we'd stayed on a weekend I would have been worried about the noise from the bar. The rooms didn't really have any windows/natural light. The breakfast was also super basic- we went out.

Small city and this hotel was smack in the middle all the workers where great and no matter what time you came in our out they were always happy to help with questions and recomend a few spots. Would stay here again without thinking about it twice.

It was such an easy place to be. There was about an hour of the day when the bar downstairs got a little loud, but it was barely noticeable. The staff were great and very accommodating and I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Water from AC leaked on my head while sleeping.
This should not be a hotel. The space would be better used for a small store. The only good thing about this property is the one staff member on duty. The room was so tiny, that my husband and I couldn’t both open our luggage at the same time. Water from the AC leaked on our heads while sleeping. I had to cover my head with a pillow. The water from the shower would not heat up. I had to take cold showers. The room was ice cold. The thermostat was frozen. The blinds were broken so we covered part of our window with something from our bed. The walls in the bathroom were dirty. The toilet lid would not stay up. This hotel is on a shady side of town. Bar right next door is super loud and makes it difficult to sleep. Hotels.com should be ashamed to list this property.

Our room was downstairs right next to the check in desk. We were not comfortable with that set up. But this is the only room with 2 full beds is what we were told. And we needed 2 full beds in the room. This room lacks in chairs and space to put things. Breakfast is average at best. Staff is helpful as long as you can converse with them in Spanish or translate app. Be aware of the noise from the bar. Very annoying when someone opens the door between lobby and the bar kitchen. Best thing going for this place is location. Excellent !!! We walked all over the place and was super convenient.

Esse hotel é excelente! Muito limpo, organizado e o café da manhã é uma delícia! O hotel fica perto de tudo então não precisa se preocupar em pegar Uber pra nada, ao mesmo tempo que é perto de tudo é longe da bagunça e do barulho das boates. Na esquina tem um bar com música alta mas eles encerram relativamente cedo. Os funcionários são muito queridos e prestativos. Pedimos para a dona do hotel nos indicar um guia para os passeios de barco. Ele foi até o hotel nos atendeu super bem e todas as dicas foram certeiras! Nos falou para evitar as praias públicas, e foi a melhor coisa que fizemos. O único problema desse hotel é que por ser um prédio histórico o banheiro da nossa suíte não era fechado no teto, então o companheiro ouve tudo que você está fazendo no banheiro. Ruim para casais que estão começando mas se já passou dessa fase isso não vai atrapalhar em nada heheheh. Eu super recomendo! Me hospedaria nesse hotel novamente sem sombra de dúvida. This hotel is excellent! Very clean, organized and the breakfast is amazing! The hotel is close to everything so you don't have to worry about taking an Uber, while being close to everything it's far from the noise of the clubs. On the corner there is a bar with loud music but they close relatively early. The employees are very kind and helpful. I recommend this place and I would stay there again for sure
