Quiet 4 bedroom 3 bath chalet located atop a 2900 ft elevation mountain with adequate accessibility. Just 7 min from the Nantahala outdoor center with white water rafting and other outdoor activities. 20 minutes to Bryson City with the Smokey Mountain railroad, breweries , shopping and restaurants. 25 minutes to Cherokee for gambling. Minutes from waterfalls, great fishing and gem mining. The home includes a hot tub, wood burning fireplace, fire pit ,grill, and beautiful views of the Smokey Mountains. Added security camera on porch can be unplugged for your stay.

Beautiful Smoky Mountains
My wife and I stayed at this property in late October at the peak of the fall foliage. The house was very clean and nice. The back deck is a great place to relax and enjoy the amazing view of the smoky mountains. The surrounding area offers many opportunities for fun and leisure. The owners are nice and quick to respond to any questions that you may have. We hope to return in the future.

OMG! This was the best of EVERYTHING
every year, my family and closest friends take a vacation together, and every year we book a different cabin because the accommodations were not perfect for our group. That has all changed! this cabin has the most amazing views, and the host and hostess were totally accommodating. Pictures cannot do this wonderful retreat justice. Never before has anyone in my group enjoyed a cabin so much. Everyone commented on how well they slept, even my sister's therapy dog slept better than usual. I think we have found the perfect vacation spot!!

This place is beyond great !!! It has tasteful decorations, it's fully equipped, the view is beyond wonderful, the parking is very adequate for 4-5 cars (don't bring a long trailer). We were able to turn around a 14 ft trailer with a Tahoe though. There is plenty of space for everyone to stake out bedspace, there are even sofa blankets, can Koozies, games, X-box, plenty of hardware and dishes in the kitchen. We will definitely stay here again. This is an older home with mid 70's charm that has been updated where needed and kept the original charm in the right places.. There is wide selection of hard cover books including Stuart Woods (he was from my hometown, knew him) and many other authors. They have fans, space heaters, ceiling fans, nice showers, I can go on all day. If you're thinking about this location, don't wait, it' great. I'm a retired building contractor, this is about the only home in the area that I wished I owned... :[ The Slade family has done it right, and no, I don't know these folks. Do I have you convinced yet...

Best Mountain View!
No need to search anymore....this is the perfect mountain house! The view is AMAZING. The house is CLEAN! I dont usually use vrbo sheets, but i did in this house. The kitchen was small, but had everything you need including spices. The owners are friendly and communicative. My elderly parents loved staying with my family here. I personally couldve stayed on the back deck for a week just relaxing in the swing, rocking chairs and hot tub! So close to Nantahala river rafting and Bryson City. Each room had its own AC. 2 master size rooms. I plan to stay here again. My twenties aged kids enjoyed the stay too.

The view and property are wonderful and as described. Hot tub was very relaxing and clean. Only suggestions would be to offer better amenities, such as shampoo, body wash, better pillows, and better knives in the kitchen.

Absolutely loved it!
This property was exactly like it was listed! The house was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in. The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, dishes, pots and pans. The fireplace was clean and easy to use especially with plenty of wood from the wood shed. The view was even more beautiful than we had anticipated! We would recommend this property to our friends and family and we would book again without a doubt!

The house was perfect for me and my family. There were 8 of us total, ages ranging from 60 to 9 months. Plenty of room and the house had everything we needed. The view when you woke up in the morning was breathtaking!

Lovely cabin with beautiful views!
We loved our stay, even with the cold winter storm, the house is well equipped to keep you warm. The space is great for 8 people and it’s pet friendly!!! Carol was on top of the incidents we had because of the storm, which were not easy to anticipate (loss of water and electricity). She made sure to do all that was in her hands so we could have a comfortable holiday. Would stay here again, most likely in a warmer season 😊

A great weekend
The pictures on this property do not do it justice. It’s incredibly nicer than it looks in the photos and it was an awesome weekend getaway location. We built a fire in the fireplace and really enjoyed the view from the house. This house has everything you’ll need to cook meals at home and is very conveniently located near Bryson City.

This house is perfect for those that want peace and quiet. The view is amazing and the house is extremely comfortable and cozy. At night sitting by the fire pit you can see millions of stars. It has everything you need for cooking and nice emergency supplies like toothbrushes and soap. This is our second time staying in this house and look forward to returning next year.

Wonderful home with an awesome view and plenty to do!!!
First let me apologize for not being out by the 11:00 checkout time. This was a first time experience for my wife and I to have our son, daughter-in-law and grand kids on a mountain trip and trying to get both families out proved challenging to say the least, SORRY! This chalet was perfect for our group of 6. The view of the changing leaves thru the Nantahala Gorge were amazing and what we hoped for. Anything we might have needed for our stay seemed to be available. There are so many things to do in this area of North Carolina. We rode the GSMR train (recommend going in open coach option) which was a great time for us all. We saw several of the area waterfalls and hiked a number of trails. Went on the road to nowhere and thru the tunnel at the end. And WHEW, 4 of our 6 made it to the top of Clingmans Dome! Breathtaking and exhausting all in one experience! The specialty shops and restaurants around Bryson City were well worth our time spent there. Oh and if you’re into wildlife, you must find time to see the elk at Oconaluftee Visitor Center, just a short drive past Cherokee, NC on the way to Clingmans Dome. We didn’t plan for any of the water activities available this time but they sure looked like fun for all that we could see enjoying them. Having cut and split fire wood available was appreciated. While we didn’t build a fire in the fire place, we did enjoy the fire pit for roasting hotdogs and enjoying the night star filled sky. Being able to see (or not) the sun come up from the deck with coffee in hand is a tribute to the beauty our Creator planned for us to enjoy! The way fog and clouds can fill the gorge is fitting of the name “Smoky” Mountains. This is a truly wonderful place. Hope we can arrange for another trip in the coming years. I would suggest one change in the directions. GPS did get us to the location as noted but the direction to turn left where the road ends was confusing as it didn’t appear that the road ended at this point. Both myself and my son attempted to continue up the steep gravel road when we arrived at different times. I’d suggest changing this to turn left past(in front of) the gray home on the left or something like this. Again, we enjoyed our time at Your home. Our family was in need of a mind clearing get away and a time to relax before the business of a new school year and work intensifies in the fall. The view is just stunning. My favorite place was sitting on the porch looking at the sunrise, the sunset , the clouds. The house was comfortable and well stocked. We took some day excursions to hike , tube and enjoy santa land amusement park. GPS was a little tricky once you turn into vista but we made it and are so glad we did. We will definitely be back
